It was the night of the ball at the Malfoy manor. Bellatrix and I were in her room, taking our time to make me look perfect. I was in my short, lace, emerald green dress already, and I had my heels on the bathroom counter.
"Bellatrix hurry! It's almost nine o clock, the ball will be starting any minute!"
"Calm down, Tabitha, you and Draco don't have to enter u too five minutes after nine. Lucius and Narcissa have to talk, and they have to be sure everyone is here before you two enter" Bellatrix said, putting eye shadow on my eyelids.
I rarely ever wore a lot of makeup, normally just foundation and powder. It was events like these that I wore a lot of makeup to. As Bellatrix was putting on my eyeliner, I thought about last night. I had stayed in Dracos room all night, even slept there. He and I had stayed up, laying in his bed talking. Occasionally, I would've found myself tracing his abs, and he'd play with my hair. I like our relationship better out of school, where we coils stay up late, and do whatever we wanted. Or almost whatever we wanted.
"Alright! You're all done. Go see Draco now. I know you want to. Just put on your heels first" Bellatrix said as I started to put on my heels.
Draco and I haven't been allowed to see each other since we woke up. I was starting to understand why me being in my room all the time had kept him up. Because not being able to see him after all the time we spent together the past two days was beginning to get under my skin. I looked at myself in the mirror as Bellatrix put on the large black diamond ring I had gotten her. When I saw myself, I smiled, and I told Bellatrix thank you, and the two of us walked out. Draco was in his room, which I found out after asking Narcissa where he was. Only two people had seen me so far, Narcissa and Bellatrix.
Nervously, I fixed my dress and walked into Dracos room. "Well don't you look hot" He said, looking me up and down, "I see why father didn't want Bellatrix buying you the dress" he began to walk towards me.
"You look hot too" I said before he kissed me. He and I were mature for our age, and serious about our relationship. Considering we didn't want to hate each other by the time we got married. Which the two of us doubted would happen.
When it was almost five past nine, the two of us left his room, and went to the dark staircase that would light up when it was time for us to walk down it together. When the lights turned on, nobody would see us until we got about halfway down. Which made it look as if we were actually just then entering the room. I looked up at Draco, who was still taller than me even when I was wearing heels. I was standing in front of him, and he had his arms around my waist, our fingers intertwined. He looked at me when the lights flickered on, "ready?" he asked.
I stepped to his right side, and held his hand as we walked down the stairs. I felt stupid, but I felt good with him. When everyone saw us, some gasped, others clapped, and some cheered. I guess Bellatrix was right, we were the big thing after all. A lot of the Malfoy family friends were there, which most of them I knew from previous Christmas balls at the Malfoy manor. But all of the balls were different, rarely ever had one same thing about it, which made many always want to attend the occasion.
Lucius was the first to talk to me, as Draco had been pulled aside by Blaise Zabini. "Not too bad, for a young girl like you" Lucius said, complementing the lace dress that met a little higher than mid thigh.
"Thank you, Lucius" I smiled, as he let me go talk to others.
"She looks hot" Blaise whispered as I walked by, thinking I didn't hear it.
"Of course she looks hot. She always looks hot" Draco said to Blaise, whose eyes were following me as I walked over to Severus Snape.
"No, I mean, she looks sexy" Blaise said, turning his eyes back to Draco.
