The room was dark but obviously not like this is the first time I came to this penthouse. I've been hired by a man known as Tyler Stone the board of directors on Alchemax , I personally never worked with the man but my partner Mark had in the past so I wasn't worried. The man was no older than my granddad he had blonde hair and blue eyes the dimmed light made hard to see his face entirely but then again this mask I had to wear is also hide my identity too. The man smiled a crooked smile then put a folder on the desk.

"So everything I want you to do is in this folder after that burn it." The man had told Mark.

"Of course sir." Mark response was in a serious tone though it is very funny how he's trying to keep it short knowing him he likes to talk a lot.

"Oh and another thing make sure that it's as messy as possible it would be too obvious." With that the man turns his chair away to look at the view of the city. "You can leave now."

"Understood." Mark turns to leave with me following him once we are out of the building and in our car driving to our spot in the Brooklyn district.

"This is it our last job and no more of this shit state."

"Hell yeah. Blue sky and island living."

"So when we get there he gave me this key card which will help minimize the attention to the place but (y/n) I need you to make some of those silly bombs along with the real ones we will need the distraction for our exit."

"Well that's no problem at all." Mark pulls up to our spot it was a abandon subway station that use to be in service but now it was vacant because of the 'flooding' which has mysteriously disappeared once we came to claim it as a base. Anyways we get out of the car and straight to the room filled with the fun toys that's needed for this mission.

I take off the mask for a bit to show my face to Mark who was lean but had muscle it was hard to pretend there wasn't anything more going on between us we've gotten closer over the years almost like we are family. I go over towards him hugging him from behind, the air feels different it feels scary honestly I've got a gut instinct this isn't going to end well and my gut is pretty much my super power and it's never wrong.

"Mark how much are we getting paid again."

"It's a lot of money more than we need to be completely honest." He huff sitting down on the chair putting his hands through his hair.

"Well it's nice that this will be the last job we do for a while. Right Marky." I said as I sit in his lap.

"Yes and no cause if we mess up there goes the money plus there's some other stuff but you don't need to worry about that."

"Okay Bear but still can I see the folder too?"

"No I already told you it's better if you don't."

"Fine." I'm not taking no for answer but for now I'll let it go at least until he's not suspicious of me.

A few hours later I find myself reading the folder I was told not to but I didn't see anything in it that we don't see in a job like this. Damn that means I gotta act like I don't know anything so I gotta not fall for his weird trap question. I put everything the way it was before leaving to the room to make sure everything is ready while he watches out on spider news to see if we any new weak points we could to get advantage on that spider.

This wasn't the first time we had to watch out for the creepy crawler , the man was a menace to criminals except to us he was more like a very difficult obstacle to over come like we never needed to kill him just avoiding him and get the whatever we need and go  though he is pretty hard to shake but once Mark figured out he can track us by scent I've made perfume that masks natural scent by pretty much making you invisible to his nose. I've fought him in hand to hand combat and with that information that I obtain  from that fight I learned that I can't fight him head on cause his strength is greater than my own.
