Swimming

Scarlett's POV:
Today is my day off and I'm just so excited to do nothing important and spend time with Yn. We've been meaning to have a mommy-daughter date and today seems the perfect day so my plan is to go out for breakfast and then go do something Yn wants to do.
Yn snuck into my bed last night at about 3am and I was so tired I didn't try to get her into her own bed so Yn and about ten teddies are taking up at least 1/3rd of my bed, it's a good job I love her!

I scroll through some social media and reply to some emails and messages for half an hour before Yn wakes up with a whine. She rolls over onto me and snuggles tightly with me making me smile. I wrap my arms around her holding her tight. She's fairly short so she's not too big and heavy to still lay on my chest.
"Morning Pumpkin" I say brushing the hairs out her face. She whines and hides her face further into my neck.
"I was thinking of having a mommy-daughter day today? Do you wanna do that?" I ask her and she lifts her head up, eyes bright and she nods rapidly. I laugh at her and kiss her nose.
"Well what do you want to do? Shall we go for breakfast?" I ask her.
"Yeah and then... swimming!" She says as I sit up with her sitting on my lap.
'Swimming?!" I ask her and she nods smiling. Yn's never actually leaned how to swim. I never taught her as she's never asked and we never really go to swimming pools and even if we do it isn't really our thing.
"Yeah! I wanna swim mommy!" Yn says
"Okay we can go swimming. What else sweetheart?" I ask and she brainstorm for a minute. I just sit quietly watching her think and smiling to myself at how cute she looks.

Yn's POV:
I think REALLY hard about what I want to do with mommy today, other than breakfast and swimming, but I can't think of anything. I look at her sadly "I don't know" I mumble.
"That's okay we can make it up as we go along" mommy tells me making me smile again.

We get up and dressed, I wear a pink dotty dress with my new trainers and mommy wears some jeans and a jumper. We then do our hair and teeth before going to the car. Mommy straps me into my car seat so that I'm safe and she drives to my favourite pancake place!

I order a pancakes with chocolate and strawberries and mommy gets blueberry's and strawberry's and we eat them together outside on the tables and it's so much fun.

THEN! Mommy takes me to a huge swimming pool.
"Okay so first we need to put out suits on to go in the water, then we have a quick shower and go to the pool okay?"
"Okay mommy!" I say super excited now. I hold mommy's hand as we walk to a locker room and mommy helps me put my swim suit on and it's tight but comfy. She wears one too and holds my hand again as we go to the showers. We have a quick shower and go to the side of the pool. Mommy crouches down and holds my hands.
"Okay love so this might look a bit big and scary but the water isn't deep in the children's pool okay? You can wear your Marvel armbands if you want or not it's up to you" mommy tells me and I nod
"I want to wear them" I say and she blows them up and slides them on my arms. I look at them and then gasp.
"MOMMY! IT"S YOU!" I squeal pointing to mommy's character on my armband. Mommy laughs and lifts me up onto her hip. She walks with me into the water and its warm and cold all at the same time.
"Can you reach the floor love?" Mommy asks lowering me down and I can but the water goes all the way up to past my chin so mommy lifts me up again. "Okay lie on your tummy and I'll put my hand under you okay?" Mommy tells me and helps me into the position. "Now show mommy kicking your legs" she says and I kick my legs. Mommy smiles at me "Perfect now move your arms like this" she says showing me with one arm what she means. I do this too "Clever girl! Now try them both together, legs and arms" I nod and take a big deep breath before kicking my arms and legs like she said and I start moving!

After being in the water for an hour I can swim with my armbands on! I go up and down and put my face in the water but I leaned the hard way not to open my mouth and eyes while under. Mommy plays with me and some toys at the pool and I have SO much fun! I'm sad when we have to get out but I knew we couldn't stay forever.

We go back to the showers and mommy helps dry my body and hair with the towel before putting my hair in a plait and putting normal clothes back on. I'm really tired now after all the swimming and yawn loudly rubbing my eyes a little. Mommy laughs and lifts me up.
"What shall we do now hon?" Mommy asks me and I shrug.
"Toy?" I ask and I see mommy smile and shake her head.
"Because you did such good swimming you can pick two toys okay?" She tells me. TWO!?
"Two toys!?" I ask her and she nods.
"Yes love two. You've been so brave today you deserve it" she tells me and I nod yawning again.
"Come on lets go. You can sleep in the car whilst we go to the toy store" mommy tells me getting the bags and leaving.

Scarlett's POV:
Yn falls asleep on my shoulder as I'm carrying her out to the car. I'm not surprised though she worked so hard with swimming and nailed it so fast. I knew she would try her best but honestly I didn't think she'd be able to swim as fast as she leaned to.
I carry her to the car, shove the bags in the boot and then clip her into her car seat placing a blanket over her and closing the door. I drive to the toy store and park the car before going on my phone for a bit letting Yn sleep as she's shattered.

After being in the car for 20 minutes I decide to wake her up. She can't sleep for too long as she wont sleep at bed time. I get out the car and go over to her side, opening the door and pulling the blanket off her. I then whisper her name and shake her gently, waking her up. She whines and rubs her eyes as she wakes up and sees where we are.
"Toy store?" She mumbles sleepily.
"Yes love" I laugh lifting her out the car. I grab my purse and we head into the store, me carrying her.
I put her down once we get inside and she takes my hand happily looking around at all the toys. She goes to the Marvel section first and I say hi to a few children but today is about my child so we move on.
Yn sees the dolls and rushes over to them pulling me with her.
"Mommy I want this one! It's like Natasha with red hair" she says pulling it off the shelf and showing me.
"Okay love. Do you want some things for her? Clothes and a stroller?" I ask and she nods picking up a clothes and bottle set.
"You can get the stroller too if you'd like?" I ask and her eyes light up.
"You said two things though mommy? I can get more?" She asks
"You can get all the accessories for your doll so she can be well looked after" I say making her squeal excitedly and choose all the items she needs, carrier, stroller, high chair and food, bath and finally a teddy.
"Thanks mommy! I love you so so much!" She says as we pay for everything.
"I love you so so much too love" I reply as we head home to set everything up for her.
