Worries

We cuddled on the sofa watching the movie on screen. Raidyn nuzzled my neck as we watched. I still didn't approve of him but I have to give in. Dan was right, I am weak. My shyness and kindness took over my assertiveness. I may of punched Kimroch and beat him up, but that was then. Raidyn has more power and I can't face getting shot by one of his guns again, I remember when he kidnapped me, tied me up and I saw the pile of weapons he had. It was terrifying. I did also experience war but I had others backing me up even if I did get beaten and ripped to shreds. Kimroch saved me that day and I'll never forget it, he loved me and I treated him badly until later in the years. Why didn't I apologise for what I did when I had the chance? Why's my life so complicated? I looked over at Raidyn who was staring at the screen. He looked down at me asking,"What's wrong?"

"Nothing..."

"Well something's defiantly up."

"I'm just tired."

"No, you're not just tired. You're something else."

"What then?"

"You seem depressed or worried."

"Why?"

"You look it, pale in the face a little shaky."

"Well I'm kinda worried about what the police will do when they find Kimroch. They might press charges against you."

"Human laws are different to angels'. If a human tries to press charges against an angel then the angel goes to an angel prison but if you're dark angel then it gets more complicated."

"So you're fine then?"

"Until maybe Dan tells the police or something, then yeah."

"Can I ask you a random question?"

"What kind?"

"Do you have any books here?" He grinned and helped pull me off the sofa. He led me over to a room filled with books. The fresh smell of oak wood and ink filled my senses.

"Enjoy." I rushed in the room, smiling happily. Raidyn left the room to finish watching the movie whilst I searched through the books. I found one that intrigued me. It was wedged between two other books about the angel history. I pulled it out and flipped through the pages. I then came to a chapter about me.

'Princess of the night: daughter of the king and queen of the galaxies

In the year 1992 the king and queen had a beautiful baby girl, known as the princess of the night. Her powers were of nature so they naturally named her 'Terra'. As she grew to the age of six the father of a boy named Raidyn. His father demanded the king to have his daughter marry Raidyn later in their life. You see, Raidyn's father was in charge of the angel court and was able to take charge of anything. Though Terra's father was the king, he agreed. At the age of twelve, the princess of the night disappeared, and mysteriously so did Samir Storm. Prince of the light angels.

For years everyone was searching for the royal twosome. Even Raidyn declared that he'll fly down to the human world in search of his lost love and the lost prince. With no success they declared Terra; princess of the night dead. As of Samir, prince of light angels, too. Raidyn hasn't been seen since he set off on his search. The king and queen were saddened by the failure of the search and closed their doors remaining them to no longer be disturbed by anyone.

Others killed themselves due to them thinking that the kingdom is going to fall leaving the angel world destroyed. Some hope that the two royals and Raidyn are alive, but are counted as useless hopers. But really we all wish they are alive...'

I walked outside the house with the book in hand. Night time fell over the earth as I sat on the edge of the cloud, staring at the appearing stars and constellations. People have killed themselves for me, even strangers. Being the princess of the night brought responsibility onto me, even when I didn't know about it. I huddled up making out the each story hidden behind each set of stars. "Terra?"

"Hm?" I looked over at Raidyn standing in the doorway. He walked over to me and sat next to me picking up the book; staring at the title.

"I'm guessing you found the chapter about you." I nodded quietly, continuing to look up at the sky.

"Why do I have to be a princess? Why do I have to have people die for me?"

"Even if you weren't a princess, I would still love you and people will still die for you. You cannot control what others do with their lives and choices." I sighed,

"I s'ppose." I answered shrugging. He put his arm round me,

"Look, don't worry about your responsibilities. You need to be more carefree. See this book?" I nodded as he lifted it up showing me. "Watch." He  flickered through it to my information page and ripped one of the pages out. Lifted a lighter from his pocket and let it burn in his hand. "You try. I know it's a book and all but just let those worries burn away." Handing the lighter and book to me. I ripped the second and last page and lit it on fire. I guess it got rid of my worries. Thanks Raidyn.
