Shoving the letter under your uncomfortable bed you left your room. You, the Royal family, and whoever else they decided to bring are departing to the Kingdom of Fyn today. Where you will either be trapped in the palace like you are now or you might actually be able to leave and then see Crispin and hopefully some of your other childhood friends.

You had a few hours before everyone left, so the King dedicated the time to plan. These sessions were usually just you and the King but this time Theodoric was observing for when we would become King. When the current King dies you might still be alive and then would serve King Theodoric. Which is unfortunate.

"My King I have come up with three ideas to solve our little problem with the Kingdom of Fyn." You smiled, "I believe it might be late for one of them."

"What problem? Are we going to war?" Prince Theodoric quickly questioned.

The king sighed, "Glad I can see I can trust you Y/n but yes we might go to war if we don't get this sorted out. Luckily we have Y/n who is perfectly reliable with coming up with solutions." King Conrad calmly explained. "You may continue."

"My first idea was to create a gift. Something that shows that Acravia is a perfect kingdom to create an alliance with. Unfortunately, it might be too late to create something like that." You presented your idea.

The King nodded along as you continued, "The second idea was to establish new trade routes with them. In exchange for our iron gold, and any other minerals that could be used for forging weapons in exchange for let's say, their protection in case a war does break out, and some of their cattle."

"That could work," Theodoric mentioned, "What is the second idea."

Sighing you said, "Princess Eria would probably not prefer this but as a just in case you could propose an arranged marriage between Princess Eria and Prince Damian. They are both of age and a marriage between them would forever bond our kingdoms together." You looked at your feet.

Prince Theodoric looked in disbelief towards King Conrad who was considering it. "You can't possibly be considering this! Eria would be miserable and Prince Damian of Fyn has been known to be aggressive towards others!" He yelled at the King. "And you, why would you even come up with an idea like that!"

You stayed silent. You were taught to never yell at a member of the Royal Family. Right now the only words that could come out of your mouth would be yelling. Luckily you had to learn how to manage your anger in Solaris. Most of the villagers were dim-witted and barely understood simple concepts so to not be hated by the village you learned how to calmly explain things and dumb it down to their level.

Taking in a deep breath to calm down you say, "It is just a case. It most likely will not resort to an arranged marriage but if they decline the trade offer then unfortunately the marriage might have to happen. They most likely will accept the trade offer. If our two kingdoms work together to create a trade route then together we would be unstoppable."

"You do have a good point." The prince calmed down and lowered his voice.

King Conrad finally spoke up, "I believe we're going to leave for the Kingdom of Fyn in a few minutes. We should head to the carriage, Y/n could you please gather Cassian and Eria?"

You nodded, "Yes my King." You vowed before quickly leaving the room.

Eria was usually in the library at this time of day studying, so you walked to the library. You glanced around the hallways you had been trapped in for four years. Sure you were grateful for the opportunity you had been given you just wished there was another way. You didn't have a choice in becoming the advisor. Well, you thought you did at the start, but then he started to...

Never mind it's nothing important.

All that mattered right now is finding Princess Eria. Once you found the door to the library you quietly opened it. You glanced around and found Princess Eria.

"Princess Eria, it is time to leave for the Kingdom of Fyn." As you said that her head perked up.

"Already?" She chuckled, "Would you like to walk with me to the carriage?"

"I would love to but unfortunately, I have to get Prince Cassian. I am deeply sorry." You sighed as you said that.

The Princess sighed, "You're unlucky to have to see my brother at this time. I wish you luck going to find him. Well, I will see you in the carriage."

Prince Cassian should be easy to find. He had a party last night and most likely got drunk. When he does get drunk then he usually sleeps until noon. It was almost noon, so he should be awake or ready to be awoken.

You knocked on Prince Cassian's door, "Prince it is time to leave for the Kingdom of Fyn." Lowering your voice you muttered, "Why couldn't one of the thousands of maids in this castle do this?" The Prince didn't respond, so you opened the door assuming he was asleep.

Nothing could have prepared you for what happened next. Instead of seeing Princess Cassian peacefully asleep under his covers, as you expected. He was just standing there with his shirt off. Luckily he had pants in, but he was for sure well aware of you outside as he was in front of the door and smirking. It's common courtesy to say something, so you don't walk in on something you won't want to see.

But he did have abs. Some nice abs against his pale skin. God, what are you thinking?! Blushing furiously you quickly exited the room.

"Aw come on come back in. We could have some fun~" His voice taunted from behind the door.

"No, thank you. Please just put a shirt on. I am sure the King and Queen of Fyn would not be pleased to see you enter their Kingdom with no shirt." You heard him groan from behind the door. There was some banging and crashing inside before he exited with a surprisingly nice outfit. He wore a black shirt with gold accents. "The King, your Father, is waiting for you. He would not be happy if you are late."

The Prince rolled his eyes. "You reminded me of a bunny earlier when you just bolted out of my room." He quietly chuckled teasing you. "So when we get back would you like to accept my offer?"

Knowing you can be a little less formal with Prince Cassian you said, "Yeah no. I would prefer to be in an actual relationship before I take you up on that offer. I prefer to be in love before I sleep with someone."

"Y/n Y/n Y/n..." He muttered putting his arm around your shoulder like he did before, "A relationship is like a ring. Who needs to commit or attach, flip it on or off any finger, or switch it out if it doesn't match your outfit. An accessory is for decoration not for love. I'm sure you will understand once you see the many jeweled rings on my dad's hand. They're great for looking pretty, great to gather if you're bored."

"Great to symbolize your place as a Duke or Lord." You added to the conversation.

"Sure, they're also great as a distraction. Honestly, it does not harm if the gems are fake."

Chuckling you said, "You're only saying that because all of yours are fake."

"I pity the poor soul who you end up with. Cause you've got self-centered ways that are hard to ignore. Likeeee," He thought for a second, "You think people are a chore."

"So? You use them. You think there are only two options, fuck and then forget. And the relationships that somehow make it past that system you usually break their heart by cheating on them. Because you are unable to commit to a stable relationship and easily break up with them. You know they won't fall out of love with you because they are afraid to even, though they know you don't love them."

The Prince rolled his eyes, "They can fall out of love with me if they need."

"You don't know about love, you only know lust and greed." You took Prince Cassian's arm off of your shoulder, "We are about to enter your family's point of view, and if your father truly hates you like you claim he would not be happy with me if he saw you touching me. Even if it was just a simple should touch."

"I am so confused by you." The Prince chuckled. In a few moments, the journey to the Kingdom of Fyn began.
