Old Connections

     Bella and Steve were now walking towards meating room of the college , Steve said that Mark asked to meet there and Bella agreed with him . college ended hour ago so there weren't much students to nothing them both .

     After sometime they both reached a double door room with beutiful designs . Steve looked at Bella before opening the door slightly looking for Mark . Bella frowned at his actions .

     " What on earth are you doing ? " Bella asked seeing Steve's behaviour .

    " Well , we have to ask for permission though . " Steve said in obvious tone .

     Bella rolled her eyes befor strapping forword and opning doors wide and entering .

     Steve looked at Bella and made 'so done' face before following her inside .

     They saw a huge glass table in middle and few chairs around the table . Furniture and decoration of the room was good . There was a big projector screen on the wall in front , and there was he , on the head chair of the table , his back facing two others in the room .

     "Welcome Phoenix , long time no see ! " Mark said while turning around to look at Bella .

     "You can't call me that . " Bella said agressive look on her face .

     " Why ? I was the one who named you that , that fire in your eyes , it reminds me of phoenix , power of burning the entire world . " Mark said being proud of his choice of name .

     " That phoenix died the day i left that house . " Bella said as she walked further into the room to sit on one of the side chairs .

     " I don't believe that , i can still see that fire in your eyes , it's there waiting for right time to come out . " Mark said facing Bella .

     " Don't " Bella said in warning tone .

     Both of them looked at eachother and made an eye contact . Mark's eyes shined at that moment , he saw that fire in her eyes sparkling and lost in them . They kept staring at eachother for good two minutes before someone decided to break this unwanted silence .

     " Ok , this is awkward . " Steve said as he was standing at the door and watching the other two conversing . As the silence took over the room and he saw the tention between them , he became uncomfortable and decided to break it .

    Bella was still looking at mark but soon her eyes turned dark as she spoke , " Stop staring at me Mark , trust me you don't wanna loose those eyes ."

     " There you go , the phoenix . " Mark said with victory smirk on his face . " And about the staring thing , says the one who was eye-fucking me few minutes ago , that too infront of everyone ." Mark said trying to trigger Bella's anger.

     " Can you blame me ?" Bella said backing up from her anger becouse she knew what Mark was trying to do . But she knew she did enjoyed teasing him back too.

     Mark raised his eyebrows at amusement but soon a smirk appeared on his face . On the other hand Steve wasn't getting used to Bella's this behaviour . He haven't seen her talking like this before , neither he ever thought she would say something like this . He got extremely uncomfortable with the situation.

     Mark was about to say something but before he could , Steve spoke , " what's wrong with you guys ? Why do i feel like an outsider ? Even though I'm your childhood friend i feel like I'm missing a piece of story here . Because I've never seen Bells talking like this . " Steve had a confused look on his face .

     " Guess he really doesn't know the part of story then ." Mark said looking suspiciously at Bella , but Bella just shrugged in return.

     " Let's get back to the topic , why did you call me here? " Bella asked .
