The Imoogi - Part 2

The Immogi stopped moving.

However, none of them dropped their guard down.

Then, suddenly Alexander made the first move, walking towards the giant serpent.

Seeing that it's burnt beyond crisp. He clenches his fist, charging electricity on it.

[Thunder King's Fist]

Imbued Fist with thunder. As it land, contains an explosion that would lead to extra damage and power.

Duration: Instantly

Skill Cooldown: 15 minutes

With that, he slams it on the giant serpent.

However, something was amiss. With one strike from Alexander, the entire room was covered in smoke and water vapor.

As we check, that wasn't the snake he was striking at. It was Imoogi's skin. It seemed to have molded and disappeared.

Before anyone of us could react, Lee Jeong Hun thrust his sword at the ceiling.

*Clunk*

Lee Jeong Hun: "Tough Bastard."

As he drops on the ground, he evokes another skill.

[Phantom Cleave]

A Single Target skill.

Lands an invisible major slash on the target.

Can't be seen through the naked eye.

As silent as the night, the blade cleaves its target without fail.

Requirement: Intermediate Mastery Swordsmanship

Duration: Instantly

Skill Cooldown: 7 Minutes

The Imoogi screams as it reveals itself.

It was on top of the temple coiling up, looking different from before.

[It has molded.]

Previously, the Imoogi was in a bright white colour, with a hint of green maybe due to being behind in this place for so long, it grew some moss around its scales.

It also had yellow eyes, showing warmth and no aggression previously.

Until the rest starts attacking it.

However, now that it molded. Slowly, its Scale which was pure white is tainted with Black colour.

It started growing spikes from its head and then downward slowly.

The eyes of the Imoogi turn bright red as it stares at the assailant who attacked him with such painful strikes.

It jumps off the ceiling using itself like a spring and aimed at Lee Jeong Hu.

[Looks like it was about the ascend but because of the violence and negative energy. It got corrupted. Now it is just a vengeful demonic beast.]

Dropping the girls, I started asking Ryong.

"Is there anything I can do? I don't have any fancy magic or skills."

[Thou have a weapon. Ideally, it's not the best weapon for hunting a monster.]

[Compared to Meduza, this would be easier. because thou have others with thy.]

The Imoogi opens its jaw wide as it tries to take a bite out of Lee Jeong Hun.

However, he retaliated by putting his sword in between the Imoogi's mouth. Just in time before the Imoogi shuts it's Jaw.

Following, Alexander slams his fist into the snake's belly, Imbued with his lighting magic, and starts to landing hits after hit on it.

With its mouth stuck and belly wrecked, the Serpent starts trashing around the temple, causing the entire underground to shake.

I ran toward the Imoogi, thinking about what can either staff do in this situation until I saw the sharp weapons both the Japanese women were carrying.

I signaled to Sasaki, positioning myself in a footstep position.

She nodded and starts running to me. I place the staff on my palm as she jumps on the staff, I pushed her up to give her an extra height.

While in mid-air, right behind the Imoogi's neck.

She launches a couple of slashes.

[Kaze no ikari]

A Single Target Skill.

A barrage of High-Speed Quick Draw slash aimed at the vital point of an enemy.

Invoking Wind's fury on your enemy, leave nothing behind.

Status Effect: Bleeding

Skill Cooldown: 10 minutes

The attacks work as some of the scales can be seen being cut off.

Kazue, riding her guardian spirit, cast a spell while throwing a talisman in the end, turning it to ash.

Thick chains start to appear from thin air trapping the beast and holding it captive.

The Imoogi now bounded by chains is trapped there without being able to move. It tries to spit poison when Lee Jeong Hun retrieved his sword and left but the chains also wrapped the mouth of the Imoogi.

It turned from Predator to Prey in an instant.

[Sasaki's POV]

Lee Jeong Hun took his sword out, walking menacingly to his prey.

The rest all knew, if it wasn't for him, none of them could have fought that and come out unscathed. It was only fair since he did the most damage to it.

Even the prideful Alexander stood there and gritted his teeth as he watches the man leaving with his prey. Maybe because of the amount of gods watching, or because deep inside he knows, he still can't catch up to him.

Just as Lee Jeong Hun was about to deal the final hit.

*CLINK*

Someone stopped him.

I turned my head to look which fool was brave enough to stop one of the strongest human currently.

It was the Masked Outsider.

I face-palmed myself, saying: "Misterrrr, come back now!"

He didn't budge. Instead, he points his finger at the Imoogi, as we all turn to see what he was talking about. The imoogi seemed to have grown some horns on its head.

Rhea then states: "Don't tell me, is it evolving into a dragon currently?"

A Dragon? There was a tale saying that an Imoogi will ascend to heaven as a dragon once it survives for 1000 years.

Its 1000-year period is up, and it must be planning to ascend to heaven.

I asked Jeong-Hun: "Do you know the consequences of killing a sacred beast that is on its way to heaven."

He replied: "I was aiming for that moment anyways, don't get in my way." as he glares at the Outsider.

But the Outsider didn't flinch or got intimated. He just stood there.

In a blink of an eye, suddenly Lee Jeong Hun spun and back kicked the outsider.

The outsider retaliated by directing Jeong Hun's leg and also returning a Back Kick of his own.

Lee Jeong Hun blocks with his arms and glared at the outsider.

They both draw their weapon right in front of the captured Imoogi and get into position to start the fight.
