Miya's POV:
No... I can't take this. I thought the shadow was only lurking in the dark corners of our home, but now... it is inside me, feeding on my light, grasping for something so gravely terrible that all I can feel is despair. That's it – DESPAIR. I look around me and see my people cut open and their blood spilled. I can hear them cry and scream in fear. These monsters took everything from me, and I can't do anything to stop their rampage. Their motive seems to be killing only for sports. It's too late. Or wasn't it? Can I still save at least some of them? But how so? I couldn't even save myself. I can't even stand up. I feel useless now, not even my faith in our goddess can rectify our dark fate. Where is she when we need her? Because I am having these second thoughts that she had already abandoned us here to suffer and die from the wrath of darkness. But perhaps the best choice right now is to call her and asks for her blessing one last time. It is our only hope. So I have to find my brother before HE could.Such a horrid tragedy to witness tremendous deaths and destruction in the once-beautiful Moonlit Forest. The agony of those who have lost their loved ones after an unprecedented attack is the only thing you can see and hear in this place during the night of a full-blood moon. Dead moon elves, such lovely creatures who only wish to live in peace and harmony with other folks, are lying on the barren ground of this woodland. Others, who are lucky enough to survive the aggressiveness of the malignant invaders, run away as fast as they can, leaving in their heads tenacious imprints of the gruesome image of their family being brutally murdered by these strange monsters that bathe on the blood of their scathed victims.
Melancholy due to tremendous loss is all they can feel, but the guilt that bounds in their restless minds is what makes them imagine that they could have helped them. Yet, they don't have the strength to fight back, even the elven soldiers admit that they are too powerful.
"These shadows can instantly kill us with only a minimal attack, and their poison can kill us on the inside. We cannot win this war." (gasps slowly)
"But they are still just shadows. They can just be instantly destroyed with our light-imbued spear and arrows."
"I know... but we can't fight him. If our king is no match against this evil god, then what can we do?"
"He's right. We have to leave now and help the others to evacuate. Find the king and the priestess! We have to flee the forest as soon as possible!" (speaks as if in complete despair)
The remaining elven soldiers are now on the run to evacuate with the other elven civilians to a hopefully safe place for them to stay. While some of the soldiers gave their lives to hold off the monsters and found Priestess Miya half-dead.
The soldier says to Miya, "Priestess, we have to leave now. They have taken over the entire civilization."
Miya replies in agony, "I still need to save my brother. He is in the Lunar Temple. We have to save him."
The two brave soldiers assist Miya, who is heavily weakened as the shadow poison inflicted through her stabbed wound from the abdomen is slowly spreading in her veins, and take her silver bow with them. But this doesn't stop Miya to persevere despite being aware that the poison alone can take her life anytime later, so they quickly walk into a high-risk area just to reach the Lunar Temple. They are not hesitant to travel to the death zone as their willingness to embrace even the smallest chance of hope is exceeding the level of fear and anxiety that they feel. And it is their sparking motivation that leads them to their desired destination – the Lunar Temple.
Just as when the priestess and her polite soldiers are about to enter the sacred temple, the shadows ambush them by charging at a high speed toward them, killing the soldiers that letting them cry in pain as their blood splashes in front of the gate and on Miya's face. This gives the poor moon elf a rising panic attack as the scenery gives a traumatizing mark on her mind. Due to a sudden mental conflict, Miya uses her bow and arrows to destroy the shadows that feed on her people, killing them with one shot each.
