Can we just talk about how mysteriously mysterious this mer is? No? Okay...
I love him.

Platonically and not, and I'm not ashamed of it.

If you haven't, try playing the mod 'Teldryn Serious', made by a friend of mine! The mod is really fun to play through. You fight off bandits while uncovering the dark past of a mercenary. The emotions tell you to do one thing while the facts tell you do to another thing.

And I absolutely love his attitude during the mod. It's hilarious how loose his tongue is, despite how bad the situation he's in can be.

Either way, try out the mod :) it's one hell of a good work. If you ever need help in some parts of the questline, you can ask me or the creator of the mod, Undriel. They have a discord server linked in the mod page on Nexus!

Anyway, let's get into it! You're a Dunmer in this one.

You stared at the elf in front of you, frowning as he looked down at his drink. He looked up, clearly annoyed by the fact you have been staring at him for the past half hour.

"What?" He asked, an annoyed tone in his voice. "The mask. Take it off." "And show my face? No thanks." You groaned and got up from your chair, standing in front of him. "Teldryn. Take off the Gods forsaken mask! Why do you always wear it? Are you ugly?" "Quite the opposite, actually." "I doubt that." "Mh, whatever you say." You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose.

You liked the mer, but by Talos could he be something to handle. If it wasn't his attitude or his snarky comments, it was his helmet. Why does he even keep it on? You wanted to know.

"What's so important about that mask?" "Not your business." "I've known you for years, Tel. It's my business." "Nope." You groaned and muttered something in Dunmeri, making him laugh. "Nwah, really? Couldn't think of something a little bit more, oh I don't know... original?" "Says the guy wearing a helmet 24/7." He shrugged and moved his scarf to take a sip of his beloved sujamma.

You grabbed his arm, knowing he was looking at you the moment you touched his arm. "Why do you keep on wearing the helmet, Teldryn? I need to know." "Will you drop it if I tell you?" You thought for a second, then nodded. "No." He said, making you groan aloud, knowing full well he was smirking under his helmet.

You sat back down on your chair, letting your head drop on the table in front of you. Now you realized how tired you were. You closed your eyes for a moment, and before you could realize what was happening, you fell asleep on the spot.

Teldryn stared at your sleeping form for a moment, then sighed and motioned for the innkeeper to come over. "Another sujamma, Teldryn?" He asked, smiling down at him. "No, a room," Teldryn replied, pointing at your sleeping state. Geldis chuckled a little and nodded, taking the gold the mercenary handed him and giving him the directions to the room.

He picked your sleeping form up, carrying you in the room and laying you down on the bed, under the blankets. He sat down on a chair close to the bed, setting his drink on the small table. He sighed and pulled his helmet off his head, placing it next to his drink as he ran his hand through his black hair. He stared down at your sleeping form, letting his chin rest in his hand. He closed his eyes for a second, feeling the tiredness wash over him.

He woke up Gods know how long later, looking at the source of the sound that brought him out of his slumber. "Still such a light sleeper..." Geldis sighed, setting some food down on the small table. "It's on the house." The innkeeper smiled and walked out, closing the door behind him.

The mercenary's head shot to the side when he heard you groan as you woke up. You looked around, confused as to how you got there. You looked at the older mer, having a hard time recognizing him because he didn't have his helmet on. "..Teldryn?" "Hmm?" He looked at you, his chin still being held by his hand. You stared at him for a second, analyzing his features. "You were right." "Hm? About what?" "You're quite pretty." He blinked a few times, his cheeks turning a light pink. Then he realized he didn't have his helmet on, and he sighed. He shook his head, a smile on his face.

You chuckled and sat up, stretching your arms. "Ready to head to Skyrim?" "Whenever you are," he started, still smiling. "But first, you should eat something. Geldis left some food for us earlier." You hummed and looked at the food. "Geldis' food is always so good..." "Better than the other inns'?" You shrugged. "Dunno, never bought food from there." You said, making Teldryn stare at you blankly. "How did you not get hungry?" "I always have my own stack of food." "You mean your own stack of sweet rolls." You nodded with a small smile, making him laugh.

He handed you a plate of food and took his own, eating while staring off at the wall. On the other hand, you could not get your gaze off him. He noticed and met your eyes for a second. "Stop staring at me." "That's physically impossible." He sighed. "You're too damn pretty." You finished, making him sigh again and facepalm. "Don't act so upset about it, we both know you love it." "I do not."
"You do."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes!"
"I do not."
"Do too!"

He groaned and buried his face in his hands. "You're impossible to deal with." "That's why you love me." You said, a smug look on your face. He sighed, looking up at you. He looked at you for a second, before smiling and shaking his head, muttering. "Women sometimes..." you heard him and chuckled, getting up and leaning down to kiss his cheek gently, then walking out of the room with the empty plates to thank Geldis, leaving Teldryn in the empty room, pondering about his own thoughts.

What if...?

Hah! Okay no the cliffhanger is shit. Kind of short chapter? Bah. Next up is Ulfric!
He can go die for all I care. Only good thing about him? His god damn vOice. Gets me every time. But no, I won't help him in the war because of his voice... I did it once and regretted it, but I won't blame you lot for loving him. He is quite charming after all.

If there was a peaceful way to really end the war, I'd choose it. I need General Badass and Greybeard Apprentice around.

Yes, General Badass is Tullius. Yes, Greybeard Apprentice is Ulfric. I will not explain myself nor will I apologize.
