CHAPTER THREE

I found out that Carol was the one who sent the bomb to rescue us. It was a relief to see her and Tyreese with Judith. Rick and Carl were overjoyed to see them alive.

We all started walking together, but it's tough going. We're all tired, exhausted, and thirsty, and it haven't rained in days.

I can't shake the memories of what happened at Terminus. It replays over and over in my head, like a broken record. The way I killed all those people, some of them were kids, women. They were innocent.

But then I remember the way they were about to kill us. They have no mercy, no compassion. They deserved what they got.

I can't help but think about Gareth. Is he still out there? Waiting to get his revenge? I don't know what I would do if I ever saw him again.

But what I do know is that Rick made a promise. He'll keep his word.

Rick haven't said anything yet about the incident. I don't know what he thinks of me or what I've done.

Does he think I went too far?

I don't know how many people I killed. I didn't count them.

We keep walking in silence.

Suddenly we hear screams coming from a distance. Someone is yelling for help. Some of us start running towards the voice, and as we get closer, we see a man on a rock, surrounded by walkers.

We quickly kill the walkers, and the man thanks us for our help. As we catch our breath, Rick steps forward and asks his three questions.

"How many walkers have you killed?"

"None." He says.

I can't help but think about how he has survived without killing any walkers. How is that possible?

Rick asks the next question, "How many people have you killed?"

"None." He says again.

I'm surprised. This man is either the luckiest man alive, or he's hiding something.

Rick's last question is simple, "Why?"

He takes his time to answer, and then he says, "I had no reason to."

I'm not sure what to make of this man. He seems like he's hiding something, but he's also very calm and collected.

"What's your name?" Rick asks. "Gabriel." he says. We all introduce ourselves, and then Rick asks, "We've been walking for a long time, and we're exhausted. Do you have any shelter?"

Gabriel takes his time to think before he says, "I've got a church."

We follow Gabriel to his church, and as we step inside, I can't help but feel a sense of calm. The church is old and dusty, but it's also beautiful. The stained glass windows are still intact, and the pews are still in good condition.

Gabriel shows us around the church, and then he takes us to a room where we can rest. As I lay down on the couch, I can't help but think about how lucky we are to have found Gabriel. He seems like a good man, but I can't get the thought out of my head. He's hiding something.

I can hear the sound of walkers outside. I close my eyes. My breathing slows, and I drift off to sleep.

I take a moment to sit down with Sasha, a woman I've grown to respect. She's been through so much already, and I can tell that it's taken a toll on her. Her eyes are tired, and her voice is soft when she speaks. We don't talk much, but I can feel a sense of understanding between us.
