A Ghouls Assistant (sodo x reader)

chapter 3

Before this chapter starts, I want to add a TW for attempted SA.

It's been 3 weeks since you've started working with Sodo, things still weren't going as smoothly as you hoped it would be this far in. You were currently making your way to the dining hall, you got zero sleep the night before so you were getting yourself some coffee before having to deal with Sodo.

You entered the dining room and ran into Cirrus, "Good morning Y/n!" She waved at you and you stopped to have a quick convo with her.

"Hi Cirrus! Good morning, how're you doing?" You asked.

"I'm doing okay! Our practices are getting less argumentative." She smiled, "Thanks to you!" She said in a sing-song voice.

"So he's actually trying the methods?" You were shocked.

"I think he might be, just a little bit."

You sighed, thankful that he's actually trying. You just wished he would do the same with you, you didn't enjoy going to dinner with a headache each night. "I'm so glad, maybe I'll be able to go back to being a sister of sin soon! And I'll be able to hang out with my friends more since I'll be less busy." You chuckled and Cirrus smiled at you.

It was still early and you didn't have to work with Sodo till after lunch, it was currently breakfast. You and Cirrus talked for a couple minutes before you decided to get your coffee, you weren't really hungry so that's all you would be getting.

"I'm gonna go get some coffee, I'll talk to you later cir!" You waved to her, "Bye, I'll talk to you later Y/n!" She waved back at you and both went your separate ways.

Once you had your coffee you sat at a table, it was away from the other ones, closer to the corner. You just sat there, drinking your coffee as you tried to wake yourself up a little more. You closed your eyes for a a minute or two, your hand was holding up your head. You only opened your eyes because you heard footsteps coming towards the table you were at. You expected it to be a ghoul that you were friends with, or even papa, but your eyes were greeted with a brother of sin that you had spoken to one night, he was new and you had showed him around. He sat down across from you and you offered him a warm smile. "Hey, you're the sister who gave me the tour right?" He asked as his arms layed on the table.

"Yeah! I'm sadly no longer a sister though" You chuckled before continuing, "are you settling in fine?"

"Yeah! Everyone is kind here, especially you. I've been trying to find you ever since the tour, you were just so sweet to me and you're very pretty and I was wondering if I could maybe take you out on a date?" He asked with a smile.

You raised your eyebrows in shock, that was not at all what you were expecting. "I'm very flattered, but I'm not looking for anything like that currently." You tried to say in the nicest say possible. To you, it was just going to add more stress to you on top of working with Sodo, when your dating someone you want to be able to give them your full attention and you wouldn't be able to do that at the time.

His eyebrows pinched together slightly as his hand moved to yours on top of the table. "Oh c'mon, you haven't even given it one chance." You tried to move your hand away from his but he grabbed it.

You scoffed slightly as you tried to remove your hand from his grasp, but to no avail. "I'm sorry, Joshua, but I'm just not ready for that type of stuff right now." You looked around the room to see most of the people have left the room already.

He got up from his seat across from you and moved to sitting right next to you. His hand moved to your face, and you tried to move away from him but he just grabbed your face harder. "J-joshua-" your breathing became heavier as you started to panic, you tried pushing him away but he was bigger than you. You squinted your eyes shut as you continued to push at him, his free hand moved to your thigh and you pushed harder and squeezed your eyes tighter together.

A tear escaped your eye and ran down your cheek, "get off of me!" You screamed and started to claw at his arms. "All I want is one date!" He raised his voice and it made you flinch slightly and your breathing got even heavier.

You felt his touch suddenly leave you which made you open your eyes. You saw Sodo gripping his hair, pulling his head back to look at him.

"How fragile is your ego that you can't take a rejection so you do that? I catch you harassing another girl and I won't hesitate to slit your throat." He said as he wrapped his hand around the brothers throat and squeezed. He gasped for air as he tried to speak, "I-i'm so-sorry! I won't- I won't do it again! Just please let me go!" He said with one of his hands gripping Sodos wrist.

You just sat there, trying to slow your breathing. Sodo forced the guy to stand up by yanking on his hair and once he was standing, he pushed him toward the door, making him stumble then run out.  You looked at Sodo, wiping the tears that fell off your face. You wrapped your arms around yourself as you looked down, not sure what to say.

"Thank you, Sodo." You said barley above a whisper. He offered you a hand and helped you off the seat, "you okay? There's no need to thank me, I may not like you but nobody deserves that." You sniffled and hesitated at first but hugged him. You weren't sure why, you were just in shock and needed a hug and he was the closest one.

He whispered out a small 'uhh' before wrapping one arm around you and patted your back before fully giving in and hugging you. you needed it, he wasn't about to push you away after what just happened, he wasn't that much of a dick. You were still slightly shaking and a tear would escape your eye here and there, it brought back some bad memories for you.

He hugged you tighter in an attempt to calm you down. Once you pulled away you looked at him, "what time is it?" You asked with a sniffle while wiping your eyes.

He pulled his phone out of his back pocket and checked the time. "It's 11:47" You hummed in thought. "You have band practice today, right?" His eyes widened, "fuck, I do!" He turned around and ran out of the dining hall. You just chuckled and started to head to your room.

Sodos pov:

I ran to the practice room as fast as I could, copia hated when we were late. I had a good reason. He will understand. I almost bumped into a few sisters on my way there, I quickly apologized and continued running.

I busted through the door, practice started at 11:45 and it was currently 11:49. I quickly grabbed my guitar and went to my spot.

I looked around the room, and the others looked at me. I had a clear confused expression on my face, I looked at swiss, silently asking 'where the fuck is copia'. He just shrugged and walked over to me.

"He's usually the first one here, I guess we are gonna be the ones to scold him this time" he chuckled out. "Guess so."

A couple minutes later copia busted through the door, looked around and saw that all of us were there and then spoke, "Sorry for being so late, my ghouls, one of my eh.." He let out a nervous chuckle, "one of my little ratties got out and I had to catch her.." all of us looked at him unamused.  "Okay heh.. let's just get started, shall we?" We all got in our positions and started with our practice.

Y/ns POV:

I left the dining room after sodo had ran out, when I was on my way to the garden I saw a rat run across the hall with a party hat followed by copia running after it with rat snacks. I snorted but cover my mouth quickly. Once they passed I snickered to myself as I made my way outside, shaking my head.
