Chapter 6

You walked out of his room, trying to figure out what Sodo meant by he wouldn't do anything like that with you. I mean, you weren't necessarily upset by it, why would you be? You scoffed at yourself, continuing to walk through the halls. Your head was pounding, you needed some water.

You spotted Papa walking with books in his hands, you quickly approached him, "Need any help, Papa?" You asked and he smiled at you, "That would help a lot, thank you." He laughed awkwardly as you took a few books, walking with him to his office.

"How's it been with Sodo? I'm sorry I haven't been able to check in, it's been busy." He said, glancing over at you. You let out a heavy sigh, mind going back to what just happened. "We've been doing good, we're friends now!" You told him with a big smile and his eyes shone, "See? What did I tell you? I figured things were going well because it's been obvious he's trying to control his anger during practice." He spoke with a grin.

"Something weird happened though." You said, glancing over at him for a few seconds before focusing your vision in front of you. He hummed, signaling for you to continue, "As you probably know, Aeth and Sunny visited. We all had a little party for them and there were drinks," You began, Copia nodded along, waiting for you to continue. "I guess I drank too much-- hence why I was heading to get some water and hopefully find medicine-- but I woke up in Sodo's bed, nothing happened- he assured me that. but he said, "I wouldn't do anything like that with you anyway." And he just sounded annoyed? I don't know, it's not a big deal at all." You explained, mocking Sodo's voice and Papa chuckled, "He's probably just in one of those bad hangover moods. Why is it bothering you?" He asked, and you two finally made it to his office. He pulled out his key and swung the door open, "You can set them on my desk," He said.

"I guess I feel offended?" You laughed at yourself, "It's silly, it's not like want to do anything with him, I don't know how to explain it." You shrugged, setting the books on his desk. You breathed in the calming scent of Papas office, it always smelt nice to you. It smelt like fresh books and fall. You smiled at the familiarity, plopping into the chair in front of his desk.

"Tell me, how're things going with you?" You asked, smiling softly as you gazed at the books on the desk in front of you. Papa let out a small hum, groaning softly as he placed himself in his chair, scooting close to the desk and tucking his legs neatly under it.

"It's good, stressful- but good." He said. He sounded a bit tired, making your eyebrows furrow, "Wanna talk about it?" You asked, "I'm always here to help, never be afraid to call on me for anything. If you need a friend to talk to, help with papers, sorting things, literally anything, I'm here." You assured him with a smile.

"I really appreciate you, truly. You are the kindest, I'm glad to have you, dear. I've just been stressed because paperwork has been piling, we are about to go on tour, sister is stressing.. really stressing. I'm not even sure it's about the tour anymore, but she says it is." He spoke, accent thick.

You nodded along with him, "I'm sorry, I hope things get easier." You frowned. His eye bags were more prominent, you could see gray hairs from stress, and he just looked very tired.

"You said you guys are going on tour?" You asked, eyebrow raising. He nodded, filling out some paperwork he had yet to do.

"When?"

"Mm, less than a month, that's why we are practicing more." He said, putting on his reading glasses.

"Well fuck, imma go get Sodo so he can get extra practice in, like I said: don't hesitate to call if you need me! Good luck with everything, Copia!" You stood up and quickly ran out, Copia just smiling softly.

You headed to the kitchen to grab water, and then your room to grab medicine, then back to Sodos room.

You knocked rhythmically, teetering on your feet while waiting for him to open it.
