Batman's P.O.V
I watched as Diana stumbled her way through the crowd and grabbed a thin pillar to steady herself. I stealthily followed behind her, careful not to attract any attention, those paparrazi were certainly a bunch. Diana made her way out of the exit with her hands clutching her head, as if she was going through some kind of pain. My heart ached seeing her like that.
The paparrazi swarmed around her, questions of concern spurting from their mouths. "Yes..yes..I'm fine...never felt better," she plastered a fake smile on her face, attempting to shake them off. They soon left her alone and I followed her out the exit without her noticing.
The fresh, cold air hit my face and I exhaled a warm breath. I rubbed my palms together, warming myself. Suddenly, Diana collasped to the ground on her knees and groaned in pain. "Please, Ares, no! Don't!" Tears rolled down her cheeks as her eyes were tightly shut.
I immediately rushed towards her and took her in my arms, stroking her hair and trying to calm her down.
"Relax, Diana, what's happening to you?" She looked up and stared deep into my eyes, her lips parted, but closed once again. "It's nothing, I'm.. I'm fine, just a headache," she replied, shaking her head. "A headache? Diana, you seriously can't lie, it's too obvious."
A small smile made its way to her face and just by that, my heart felt a little more at ease. "What's going on? And I want the truth from you," I said. "Ares.. he's captured my mother, she's being tortured! I keep having visions of what she's going through and.. it's really painful seeing her like that, I have to find her! If I'm not wrong, Ares is with Hades in the underworld."
I kept a passive face. "If you're going to save her, you're not going alone," I said firmly. "Bruce, I really don't want anybody to get hurt anymore," she whispered.
"And no one will," I promised. "I.. have decided to leave for Themyscira tomorrow," she said quietly.
"I'll have to go now, bye Bruce," she stood up and took small steps towards the stairs. As I watched her disappear, my mind contemplated on what would be the best way to help her.
I got up from the ground and walked towards my limousine. "I'm going with you, Diana," I whispered to myself.
