Everyone thought Darren couldn't be more excited for his contract with the school to end. Which was true.
However, outside of being excited to quit his stupid job, he also enjoyed making bets on which students would get together.
He based this on a number of factors.
1. How often and/or quickly they visited each other when one was in the nurse's office
2. How closely they sat to each other when sitting on the beds
3. How awkward they were with each other
4. How often they blushed around each other
just to list a few.
He would then make bets with Keene on these students.
He originally made a bet that John and Sera would get together when he saw how awkward Sera was around John and after a few very uncomfortable visits in which they both came for medicine to fix some unfortunately placed "bugbites" on their necks on the same day within a few minutes of eachother.
Darren and Keene later canceled the bet after Darren "accidentally" overheard a conversation between Sera and John in which John was showing Sera pictures of a guy he recently went on a date with.
As it stands their current bets consist of:
Remi and Sera
Blyke and Isen
Holden and Cleo
Ventus and Melli
Zeke and Elaine
And the newly added, John and Arlo
