Vanilla. Lavender. Rose. Sandalwood.

I have always liked the scent of people around me. They make me remember moments I’ve once lived…. And how they felt at that time.

Katulad ngayon, I smell expensive chanel and dior perfumes around me and they hurt my nose, makes my head dizzy but nothing can ever equate the feeling of happiness I’m feeling right at this moment. Cameras flashes in front of me as they shout for more poses.

"Stunning as always, Lara!" a familiar media praised me.

I winked at her and smiled.

“Thank you.” I said as I slowly turn my back on them to enter the venue.

The scent never left me rather they grow stronger than earlier as people flock the insides of the venue. The place was magnificent, sparkles of big chandeliers as light hits them, it made it more enthralling.

This fits you, Lara. This is where you belong.

"Lara!"

Mabilis akong napalingon sa tumawag sa akin at hinanda ang palakaibigang ngiti.

"Lara, hija." Gina's arms were wide open as she embrace me and kissed my cheek.

Sadie also giggled and kissed my cheeks.

"I'm so glad you made it, hija." he said.

Gina's a talent manager from ELg Ent., he or should I say she, handles Lucy of Astrid and Mikylla the famous model. They were colleagues of mine when I first entered modeling.

"I thought you were too busy to come to the gala? " Sadie spoke.

Bumaling ako sa kanya at maliit akong ngumiti at umiling.

"I cleared my busy schedule for this evening, Sadie."

She smiled, slightly raising a brow at pasimpleng sinuri ako ng tingin.

"Well, I hope you enjoy and look at that, you look gorgeous tonight, and, oh my! Is that the latest collection of Lumuag? Mikael surely got himself the right ambassador." sabi ni Gina.

The Lumuag luxury clothing brand has just launch their first branch here in the Philippines and has chosen me as their brand ambassador. Isa sa co-owner nito ay isang pilipino but they started in New York.

I smiled even more. "Thank you, tita. You look very stunning as well." puri ko sa kanya.

Umikot siya para mas ipakita ang suot habang malapad ang ngiti.

"Thank you, hija." aniya.

Bumaling ako sa katabi niya na kanina pa nakatingin sa akin. And mind you... It's not a very good stare.

"You look really pretty as well, Sad." puri ko sa kanya.

Gulat siyang napabaling sa akin. It was as if my compliment is very rare which is true. I don't compliment anyone especially not her. But of course, I have to.....in front of someone to earn a good impression.

That's how things work in this industry. You always have to have someone see you doing good deeds to earn a good image in the word of mouth.

That black fitted gown with its deep V-line exposing a great amount of her chest is just daring and beautiful. Not gonna lie.

But I know nothing beats mine.

I had a midnight blue gown and black in gradient hues matched with sparkling designs. I didn't had that deep V-line in front, I had it placed behind, exposing my flawless back just right before my bottoms.
