Chapter 2-Mary
Rose, a girl Hazel and I knew from school was being violently thrown in the air at the oldest, worn-down house in the neighborhood in the dead front yard, as if an invisible being was tossing her as if she was a puppet that was purposely making all of the little kids in the audience laugh for extra tips.
"Help! Please I didn't know this would happen! I just tried it on for a second! H-h-he told me to try it on!" Rose wailed. "Hold on! Hold on! I'm coming! Hazel call the cops!" I shouted and ran to Rose leaving Havel behind to call the police (even though she wasn't making much progress, she was just standing there gawking as if she hasn't seen this before (none of us have actually)
"Stop!" I commanded at Rose ( I know this might sound weird but somehow I felt that necklace was calling to me, telling me to put on the necklace) Rose seemed to hesitate for a minute but then she started to do the "Dance of the Wooden Puppet" again."I said STOP!!" I screamed with such force, Rose stopped and then dropped to the ground with a very life-startling THUD.
I thought I heard a woman's laugh... I shook my head out of it while I was running to the victim. It's just my imagination. I told myself and focused back on the present.
"Rose?!Rose!!" I said collapsing on the ground beside her and started to shake the life out of her (even though there might not was any life in her). Hazel what are you doing?!?!?" I screamed,"Get over here, NOW!!!" Hazel managed to break free from her trance and stumbled over herself to the scene. "OMG, is she...she... you know..." she asked with a whole lot of worry in her voice.
"I have no idea," I answered staring down at her chocolate brown face."Wait, how did you stop her doing that...you know..." she madly waved her arms around like she was a crazy person,"Stop the 'Puppet Dance'?"
I offered "Yeah,yeah, that?" I thought about it, I actually haven't even thought about it since she hit the ground. I didn't even notice that I was thinking too hard and Rose started breathing again.
