Lea is getting ready for school. It's the last month of high school and she is still unsure what to do next. She looks at her desk. There's a few papers advertising some universities. After taking a deep breath, she grabs them all and shoves them in the trash can. She can't think about it right now.

Lea has long and wavy brown hair and blue eyes. Her smile is white and warm. She loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Ethan, and also to go out to party with her classmates. She is a good student, but with all the pressure from her parents she is starting to get confused. Is that what she really wants, or what her parents want?

After making sure she has everything on her backpack, she starts hearing someone having an argument downstairs. She can't understand what they are saying, but it looks like her parents' voice. She opens her room door without making a noise and starts going down the stairs slowly.

"No, I think she should know!" Her mom seems nervous.

"Don't you think it's still too early?"

"Shes seventeen! We can't keep lying to her... and to ourselves."

"And how are we supposed to tell her this? Are you just going to approach her and say, 'Good morning Lea, by the way, we're getting divorced!' ?"

Lea stops breathing. Her eyes are wide open and she can't believe what she just heard. She's frozen, she can't move, she isn't hearing anything anymore, she is just caught up in her own thoughts. "They never showed any signs of not loving eatch other anymore... They never argued... They never stopped smiling... It's true we aren't that close of a family, but they always treated me so well... How is this possible?"

Lea shakes her head. She is finally back to the real world. Her parents are still arguing about that topic. She just wants to leave, so she runs down the stairs, puts her shoes on and gets out of the house without saying a word to them. Lea could still hear her mom calling her right after she closed the door but she didn't want to talk about it. It was best to just ignore it for now and try to focus at school. She would deal with that later.
