(It's been about a year since you've moved to Woodsboro and you've made a group of friends - Billy, Stu, Sidney, Randy, Tatum - and you've also become close with a girl in your English class called Casey.)

It's another boring day at school, but in a little less than an hour, school will be over. As you head to class, you can't help but grin as you think about how well you've settled into Woodsboro. You and Billy hang out all the time but guys haven't spent much time together since he started dating Sidney.

(Your pov)

Eventually, the final bell rings, and the teachers send everyone on their way. I head outside, and at the last moment, as I'm stepping around students, I think I see an all too familiar face in the crowd. But he's walking away, and I can't be sure. Maybe it's just my imagination?

I speed walk towards him

As I approach him, he doesn't notice me at first; he's still walking towards his car, but with my quick pace, I reach him just as he is unlocking the driver's side door. He turns to face me, and the smile he gives me is genuine and warm and slightly surprised. He looks happy to see me, his expression soft.

"Oh, hey!" He offers me a small wave. "I didn't see you coming." His smile brightens, and he offers me his arm. With his other hand, he motions to the passenger side of the car. "Should I take you home?"

"Oh, you don't have to do that."

"I know I don't have to, but I'd LOVE to." With a slight grin, he holds out his arm again, insisting I take it. "Please?" There's a hint of playfulness in his voice, but there's also just a hint of seriousness, as if he means what he's saying. His soft brown eyes look up into mine, looking so sweet, so adorable and so earnest and so genuinely, genuinely kind. His smile is infectious, his gaze so warm and friendly that it feels almost impossible to refuse him.

"Please?" he asks again.

"Okay, fine... thank you."

Still smiling, he gestures for me to slide into the passenger seat. He goes around to the driver's side door, hopping into the driver's seat and turning the car on. Once I'm settled, he turns to face me, his entire demeanor still playful as he looks into the rearview mirror at me.

"So, did you have a good day at school today?" He starts driving, turning out of the school parking lot in the direction of his house.

"Umm, it was good actually...although Principal Himbry is err... kinda creepy..."

At the mention of Principal Himbry, Billy's face darkens for a moment; he scowls. It's clear he doesn't like the man either.

"Yeah, he's a little too friendly sometimes...that guy..." Shaking his head, he looks to me, his face relaxing once more. That smile returns to his features, and his warmth and energy feel contagious; I'm glad I decided to come along after all. "But I'm so glad you've settled in well!" He pauses. "What was your favourite class today?"

"Umm, I liked music and gym class. It was pretty fun."

His smile widens again. "Great choices! I love those classes too. So, what kind of music do you like?" He glances over to me, his warm eyes meeting mine in the reflection, and he smiles. His gaze feels so open and honest, so genuine, so friendly. Something about him ... It's hard to put into words what he is exactly. All I know is that he seems kind and sweet. "My favourite band is the Toadies" he says with a grin. "I love their sound." He glances back at the road. "What about you?"
