"So..." Carlos asked, sat beside Charles in the gym they were training at that morning, a grin on his face as he pulled his shirt over his head. "How'd it go?"
"How'd what go?"
"You know..." Carlos said, practically giggling as he nudged Charles, leaning against the locker as Charles began to pack up his stuff. "You're date."
It had been a few days since Vanessa had arrived in Monaco, five to be exact, and Charles hadn't seen even a glimpse of her since. Both had been hard at work but Charles could not seem to stop himself from staring at their text chain some days, fingers hovering above the keyboard, his brain wracking as to what he could say.
"It was not a date, I picked her up from the airport." Charles said, clearly frustrated at his teammate for bringing up the object of his clear desperation.
Carlos held his hands up in surrender, one brow raised at Charles who simply rolled his eyes at him.
"But you want a date, no?" Carlos asked, reading his answer from Charles' silence. "See? Just asked her, what's with you? Bring the monegasque charm."
"We have a race tomorrow and you want me to focus on getting a date?"
"Si!" Carlos said, closing Charles' locker door with a smile before making his way to the door before calling over his shoulder. "If you don't I might! I am her favourite racer!"
"She was joking dick!"
