1 - Voice in my head

As a kid, Lloyd always heard voices in his head. He thought it was normal until some kids made fun of him, so he stopped telling everyone.

The voice called himself Cenon and he sometimes helps Lloyd with his homework, it usually takes convincing though

He likes to think of him as a brother and Noishe is the family pet and Cenon sometimes lets it show that he also thinks like that

It wasn't until the Journey of World Regeneration was when the little voice became much more

“I wonder how making pacts are” Lloyd wondered “It shouldn't be too difficult. Usually, the spirit tests the Summoner's strength and worth in battle. When the Summoner wins, they make their vow, and they make a pact or so the scrolls I've read said” Kratos said.

“Truly on paper it appears easy, seeing a pact being made after all these years will truly be fascinating!” Raine said as everyone made it to the shrine, Undine stands in.

She's a worthy challenger. Lloyd, keep your guard up, Cenon said as Lloyd nodded as they saw Undine, and she hissed at Lloyd

Lloyd took a step back as everyone drew their weapons. Does she know? Cenon said, but Lloyd was confused, “You who have the rights of the pact I am bound to Mithos”

Sheena breathed in “Wait, really the research facility never told me anything about this” Sheena sounded a bit scared “From the old scrolls I've read as long as the pact holder holds that vow we cannot change anything but should they break their vow or have passed we can ask for an annulment” Kratos explain

“For a mercenary you certainly do a lot of reading” Raine said suspiciously “Knowledge helps us sellswords for any fight” “Okay, sounds easy” Sheena cleared her throat “Undine! I am Sheena! I ask that thy annuls thy pact with Mithos and establish a new pack with me” Sheena asked.

“Okay, but I have one request to kill him.” Undine pointed to Lloyd. Yeah she knows Cenon said “Why?” Genius asked Lloyd was panicking until he felt the world turn-off Lloyd's eyes changed color as he started to Undine in some sort of fashion. She shook her head.

“Never mind Pact maker draw your weapon” Lloyd's eyes changed back to his normal color as he shook his head “What happened?” Lloyd asked confused as Genis groaned, “Lloyd stop daydreaming and get ready to fight!”

Lloyd felt the world shatter around him as only the fight was left

Undine was difficult for some reason her attacks were harder on Lloyd. She did have the intent to kill. He really thought he was going to die if not for Genis managed to cast a Thunder Blade on her, finally proving their worth

“Okay pact maker make your vow” Undine said “There are people suffering right now. I vow to save these people by finding a better way for everyone” Undine nodded “Okay Pact maker I entrust my power to you”

Undine turned her head to Lloyd as if she's doing some sort of message, and she disappears leaving a gem

She was a great friend. I just wish she had understood Cenon said, but Lloyd didn't understand him “Lloyd let's go I think we had enough crazy today”

Lloyd grabbed the gem and left with everyone

They were at the inn where Lloyd was asleep. Cenon took over. He doesn't always do this only when Lloyd forgot something important, like feeding Noishe he takes over but right now, it's important for him

He stepped outside as he said “Undine” and there she appeared The Maiden in the Mist, “Cenon is that really you?” Undine said “It is I appreciate you didn't try to kill the boy.” Cenon said “If you know, why don't you break out of the shell and come back to us?” Undine said, pain in her voice “This is special he isn't a shell not like the other times,” Cenon said.

“The world truly has been deteriorating isn't it” Cenon said through the boys' body “But what can we do outside of making sure it doesn't die” Undine said “How's Celsius and Gnome” Cenon asked “They are fine they miss you do you-” “No don't tell them at least not yet”

Cenon walked back to the inn “We are going to Luna's altar next. Let's hope she's as understanding as you are my friend” Undine vanished and Cenon went back to bed and closed his eyes.

The climbing to the tower of mana was already hard as the puzzles made Lloyd actually give up, making Genis and Raine take over but fighting the guardian of the altar was harder as his was resistant to Holy and Wing magic, two things they had that used to pack a punch with Raine and College and Genis spells

As they approached the altar, the spirit of light appeared in front of them as she looked at Lloyd and looked shocked “Cenon?” She said quietly as she left, Lloyd didn't hear, but Collete did as she said, “Who's Cenon?” Which Kratos looked away “Probably nothing. We don't know much about the spirits so it's best to leave it be”.

Sheena looked sad as Tethe’alla might meet its end

As Remiel came down and blessed Colette and removed her voice, they left to the Tower of Salvation

“Cenon, is that really you?” Luna asked as Undine was with them “It is, please don't tell anyone, especially Celsius” Cenon spoke through the boy “Dear friend, I understand your concern but-” “She won't understand this body isn't a shell. She will go and kill me, but this body has a life a heart and soul it's separate”.

The sports were quiet “A Human and Spirit bond like family. If you and Gnome weren't best friends to share a brother bond, I would have to think you two were tether-” “Continue that thought and the sea will meet an end” Cenon said swiftly

Undine and Luna chuckled “Fairess will certainly miss you” “Trust me, I'm was glad they didn't recognize me. you two were always more attentive”

The Spirit of Water and Light looked at each other “You will have to tell Celsius you and her both almost were a tether” Cenon was silent “If there's a way Lloyd and I can be separate then maybe, but now I don't see it”

The sports left and Cenon went to bed unaware a Blue winged Seraph was watching everything
