Chapter 10 - The End...

3 months later...

*Amy Rose POV*

I woke up feeling excited, my sleepiness abandoning me. It was Sally's birthday, and I was going to throw her one of the biggest parties I have ever thrown in a while. She was one of my best friends, and she helped me a lot through tough times. If anyone deserves a big birthday bash it's her. But I can't do it alone. I got Rouge, Cream, and Blaze to help me. I will also throw them big birthday parties when it's their turn.

We got the scene ready, in a park where Sally loved hanging out. We designed all the ballons a light blue-ish color, her favorite color. We called all of Sally's friends and loved ones. When it was time to bring her into the surprise party, I took the part in taking her in. I told her to meet me a couple of blocks away from the surprise for a walk. 

"Amy, thank you so much for inviting me to this walk. I love spending time with you, and it helps get my mind off things."

"Oh, is something going on?"

"Oh, nothing. Just...I'm still thinking about what happened."

"Oh. You mean me realizing that Sonic wasn't interested?"

"Yeah."

"What...what about it?"

"I'm just surprised that you understood and stopped. You are one of the most determined people I know."

"Well, I think a part of me knew Sonic wasn't interested. I guess I just needed to see it in my face to fully understand."

"I just feel bad for you."

"Don't feel bad, it's best for the both of us to own up to our mistakes."

"I guess so. I still can't believe Sonic The Hedgehog actually admitted he was wrong for once in his life."

"Me neither."

We both giggled at that. We were near the scene in which the surprise was set.

"Hey Sal?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you close your eyes real quick? I want to show you something."

"Okay?"

She closed her eyes and I slowly steered her into the direction of the birthday party. People were hiding behind tables, banners, and presents.

"Okay Sal, I want you to open your eyes in 3...2...1"

She opened her eyes to the scene. Her eyes went from pure shock to joy. Everyone started singing happy birthday to her and her eyes were brimming with happiness. Then we all gave her our presents, and finally, we did what she loved to do. Dance! We put on her favorite songs and started dancing to the beat. Everyone was smiling, laughing, and having fun. 

Me and Rouge were talking since we both danced a bit too much. We were discussing how great the party was when Rouge was talking about how we were great party planners.

"I think we should start a business. This party was clearly a great success."

"Rouge, we both already have jobs, Blaze is a princess from another dimension, and Cream is clearly way too young to have a job."

"Oh my. I guess we won't have a party-planning business any time soon."

We both laughed at that. Soon it was night time and people started leaving to go home. I went to say my good byes to Sally and she looked at me with bright, joyous eyes.

"Thank you so much."

"No problem Sal."

And Amy walked to her house, feeling like she was one of the happiest and luckiest girls in the world.
