"Thank god, I swear it took y'all damn near forever to get here" I said to my friends
"You said the party doesn't start until 10 and plus you asked us to come help you set up" Valencia said
"Yeah, Kourtney can you finish filling up the coolers in the backyard please. Treasure can you set up the burners the food is done but it needs to be heated up before the guest get here. Jasmine your in charge of music and Kennedy help with the alcohol, I know you brought some stuff" I said
"As I should a few shots wouldn't hurt and Karin is coming in like an hour and a half since she just got off work" Kennedy said taking all the bottles to the kitchen

"Aye where the birthday girl at" I heard from the living room
"Oh my god, it's ybnnahmir!" One of my guests said
I put my red solo cup down on the island before walking into the living room seeing him with a microphone. He walked over to me pulling me into a hug.
"I got this for you" Nahmir said holding up a gift bag
"O-Oh, thanks. I didn't think you would come" I said trying not to blush
"Oh nah, so I hear your a fan of mines" Nahmir said
"Something like that" I said
"Cool, aye drop that beat y'all" Nahmir said saying the last part into the microphone
Siri playing : porches in the rain
I watched as Nahmir walked onto the small stage that I had set up performing the song, I didn't know what to think I'm like so lost for words
JASMINE'S perspective

"Is this seat taken"
"Of all the seats in this house you wanna come and bother me—" I said seeing the dude from our group chat
"My fault, I can find another seat" he said
"Oh no, I didn't mean anything by that you can sit here" I said with my drink in my hands
"Thanks" he said taking the seat next to me
"I never got your name" I said trying to make conversation
"Jamal" he said
I nodded my head before taking another sip of my drink
"You from here" I said
"Oh nah, I'm just here visiting family" Jamal said taking a sip from his drink
"Oh okay, well I'm glad you were able to come out tonight" I said looking at the time on my Apple Watch
"Yeah thanks— when am I gonna be able to see you again" Jamal said
"How long are you going to be out here, visiting" I said
"About another week or two" Jamal said
"You can get back to me when your free and we'll go somewhere" I said standing up with my solo cup leaving him on the couch
I headed towards the backyard to let Kymira know I was heading out and that I would see her tomorrow or something before heading towards the front door to my car
