How did this happen..? How did we get here..? I guess I should introduce myself. Hi, I am Laia sochi, I'm 28 years old. I was born in 2020..me and my best friend are the only known people alive that were born in what was called "The Covid-19 Worldwide Pandemic". Yes I was born in the worst year of existence according to the human race. You're probably wondering "What did you mean by How did this happen, and How did we get here?!" Well....I'll explain.
It started on 2041 January first at about 3:30 AM. Of course I was sleeping so I was not aware of what what happening just yet. I woke up to the sound of my phone going of repeatedly. I was in France visiting a friend of mine in the duration of this..thing. Anyway, My phone was going off like crazy and I checked it in case someone was hurt or something of the sort. The first thing I saw was a alert from the American government as well as the French government. It said something like "WARNING DO NOT LOOK AT THE MOON!". I got about 20-30 texts saying things from "IT'S SO PRETTY!" all the way to Scientific facts about it. But I remember one specific text saying "you can't hide for the rest of your life." Naturally, thought it was just one of my friends being funny; then I saw that it was a unknown number. That was odd seeing as to how I know all the people that text me. Then I got a text from my little brother, Mike, and it just said "SOS". I asked what was wrong, but I didn't get a response which is unusual for him. It was only 7:00 PM for him so he wouldn't have gone to bed for another couple of hours. I remembered the alerts. I didn't go and check outside. I watch a lot of movies and I'm not going to be a idiot like when they go in the dark basements in movies. I texted my Mom, Dad, and my brother. They were all really cautious people.. they would've listened to the alerts which was really suspicious; but I decided to go check on Ash, she was still asleep so I woke her up asking her what was happening. Neither of us knew. I explained what I just experienced with her, so then we decided to go and check the security footage. There were hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of people walking in the same direction towards the moon; as if they were all little moths drawn to a light. We started freaking out then packed a few bags and quietly snuckout the back and carfully headed to her car. And me being as clumsy as I am tripped, I accidentally looked at the moon but.. nothing happened..
We got in the car and started driving to the airport. When we got there there was no light activity inside.
