hi guys! just a warning, there will be no chapter next week as i'm going on a vacation with my family. after that, i'll be updating regularly again!:3

"I'll eat anything! You know the town, take me to a place you liked eating at," Scara pulled a hoodie over his t-shirt and got ready to leave.

Then he turned around and narrowed his eyes, pointing a finger at Kazuha. "You just have to promise, none of your old friends will be there."

-

Kazuha brought them to a diner his family used to go to when he was young. It was small, tucked into the woods a mere 7 minutes away from their Air-BnB. It specialized in breakfast, which is why it was Kazuha's favorite.

"Kinda weird we're getting breakfast food at lunch," Scara commented. "Normally you'd get breakfast for dinner, if not breakfast."

Kauzha laughed, "What?"

Scara shrugged. "I dunno man, I'm so tired."

"After let's go home and just sleep," Kazuha suggested.

"Yeah," Scara snorted. "I am not a morning person."

They ate lunch rather quickly in an attempt to return home and hopefully catch up on some sleep. Then they could walk around town for a bit and shop at some of the small stores, something Scara never got to do.

-

Scara couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned over and over on his side of the bed and groaned quietly.

Kazuha had to have had some other intentions getting a one bedroom house, right? I mean, there's no way he just got in the bed and went to sleep.

Scara rolled to face the back of Kazuha's head. Was he already asleep? It had only been 30 minutes, but felt so much longer.

"Kazuha..?" He murmered, not expecting a response.

"Hm..?"

Scara's eyes widened. "Ah, sorry! I didn't mean to wake you up.."

Kazuha laid on his back and smiled softly. "I wasn't asleep."

"It sounded like you were.." Scara muttered.

"That's cause I was trying to fall asleep.. anyway, what's up?" Kazuha crossed his arms behind his head to prop him up.

"I just wanted to know if you were awake, I couldn't sleep.."

"Wanna see something?" Kazuha asked, sitting up.

Scara raised an eyebrow, but sat up too and followed the other boy out of the room. He walked into the laundry room and heaved open the heavy window.

"The houses in Inazuma seem kinda old, I remember seeing a few of them from when I lived here," Scara speculated.

Kazuha nodded. "Yeah, they're really old. You gotta be careful, 'cause you might fall through the floor if you jump hard enough," He laughed and climbed out of the window, turning around to pull his body onto the roof.
