JUNGKOOK POV

I stirred awake when Jimin
pulled away from me.

Was it time for morning chores?

I squinted at the windows.

It was still dark out.

I groaned in protest and
calmed down when Jimin
pressed a kiss to my mouth.

"I'll be right back." he said, tucking a stray strand of hair
that fallen across my face.

"You better." I threatened,
still not completely awake.

I wanted to return to my wonderful dream.

Jimin chuckled.

I heard the door open and
heard another voice.

"Six intruders?" Jimin was asking.

"There can be more."

"The barrier's malfunctioning again." said another familiar voice. Taehyung's.

"Yoongi says he needs all of
us to go."

I swore I could feel Jimin's thoughtful gaze land on me
but I pretended to be asleep.

Tae's words scared me.

While I knew guarding this territory was part of the pack's agreement with the Moon
Coven, I still feared for Jimin
and the others each time
they went out hunting for interlopers.

"We should also call
Nolan." Jimin said.

"I have a bad feeling about
this."

"Me too."

"Nolan's already on his way
but it'd take him half an
hour to get here.

"I also requested additional
help from the coven."

"What about Jin?" Jimin
asked.

"He left late last night to visit another magic coven two
towns over." Joon said.

"I see."

"I'll be right down."

"I just want to kiss Jungkook good bye."

"Fine but hurry."

"Yoongi wants to do a briefing first before we head out to
our respective posts."

I opened my eyes and
stopped pretending.

Jimin walked over to my side
of the bed and kissed me
again.

"You're awake." He said,
not sounding surprised.

"Go back to sleep."

"We'll handle this threat in
no time at all."

Jimin was about to walk away
but I grabbed his hand.

Jimin turned to me.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Is it the baby? You need something?"

I shook my head, touched
by how sweet he was.

He always made sure I didn't want for anything.

Even when I got cranky or suddenly had odd cravings in
the middle of the night, he  always accommodated me.

"I'm worried." I admitted.

"The situation sounds
serious."

Normally, two of the Alphas
went on patrols.

All of them needing to go so suddenly must be an anomaly.
