☃️⛄☃️
Kiaan falls on his butt at the force, winching in pain. He remains on the floor, too afraid to get back and get smacked by Manav again."Come on, get up. You just learnt how to take a punch. Now it's your time to learn how to throw one." Manav informs, telling him to stand up.
Kiaan is skeptical, Manav will throw another punch out of nowhere. Though it doesn't hurt, it never ceases to surprise him. Manav attacks out of nowhere. He doesn't want to learn how to throw a punch anyway. Why would he punch someone? He was always disciplined to listen and be a good boy and the first rule was to never engage yourself in a fight. Never.
Manav is adamant though. Kiaan has learnt one thing and that is Manav doesn't react positively to rejection. Sometimes he plays it cool and lets the matter go but when he is stubborn like now, he will go to any end to make his wish happen. He should have rejected Manav's offer of spending some good time in the first place because now he is stuck!
Manav takes Kiaan's gloved hand and helps him stand up.
"Take your stance, little one. Let's see what you've got." Manav encourages, energy oozing out of his aura.
"I've got nothing to show. Please, let me go." Kiaan tries to trick Manav into letting him go by showing his big puppy doe eyes.
"Boy, I'm a certified psychopath. This thing won't work on me." Though he almost gave in, Kiaan doesn't need to know that.
"Come on now. Keep your feet apart." Kiaan does.
"More. Good. Now, lift up the heel of your back foot. Keep your knees bent. It will give you an opportunity to extend your legs while punching." Manav demonstrates it himself so that Kiaan can copy him.
"You will have to rotate your torso while throwing the punch. Trust me, it will give your punch extra strength." Kiaan nods his head, not fully understanding.
"Always, I mean always remember to exhale before throwing a punch. If you struggle to breathe out then make a noise while throwing a punch." Kiaan breathes out.
"You will have to lean and tuck your head slightly. If you keep your head still, the opponent will have easy access to attack you. Also, keep your eyes on the opponent."
Now that's hard. Kiaan still finds it hard to hold eye contact with Manav but he still does what he is instructed. His anxiety lessens a bit seeing Manav smiling at him.
"Relax your fist before throwing a punch. It will be more effective. Now, punch straight with your arm. Remember to punch where it hurts the most. Like-" Kiaan throws a sudden punch on Manav's chin, sending him one foot backwards.
Both Manav and Kiaan seem shocked at that. While Kiaan is feeling like the worst person alive for hitting Manav and feeling remorse down to his toes, Manav is feeling like a proud teacher.
"My boy, now that's how you throw a punch!" Manav says with utter enthusiasm.
"It didn't hurt?" Kiaan asks, feeling guilty still.
Manav appears indifferent to the punch but it doesn't change the fact that he has thrown a punch at the man who is feeding, clothing him and providing a roof over his head.
