(A/n: Heyyy y'alll! I'm back. I disappear too much. My bad...😭 Enjoy!)Applying light makeup to your face, you admire your reflection. You can't remember the last time you got this dolled up. Lately, you've just been getting up and running nonstop without putting much effort into your appearance.
Since you have a million things to take into consideration, it hasn't been much of a concern. You would like to focus on apparel more often but given the circumstances, that's the least of your worries.
After the finishing touch, you slipped on your crystal stilettos, adjusting the straps around your ankle.
"Damn. You look like a candy bar." Toji smirks, leaning in the doorway wearing a fitted black suit with the collar of his shirt unbuttoned, displaying some of his chest.
You couldn't help but stare in awe. This probably is the first and last time you will see him all cleaned up. He appears to be a gentleman but the moment he opens his mouth, he reminds you who he is and you can't even fathom anything further.
"You look like a respectable man, Toji. Too bad I know otherwise." You stand up, walking to the mirror in the corner. "Is there a reason you picked such a difficult dress? Give me a hand with the strings."
"Cause if I like it any man will." He walks over, standing behind you.
Scoffing, "Not every man has the same taste as you. You are so conceited." You flinch from his fingers grazing the small of your back. He grins, tying the strings.
"Most men are like me. They just hide it well." He steps back, scanning over your body. "Besides, everyone always wants what's mine." He rests his hands on your hips.
"It's just pretend, Toji. Don't get carried away." You clamp your hands over his wrists.
"What if we need to be more convincing?" His raspy voice amounts to a suggestive whisper in your ear. You lean into him, showing you can comfortably play the part. "Is that all? Boring..." His fingers dance up your back.
You turn to see him, throwing your arms around his neck, which you lean into and bestow a kiss on his Adams apple. "That should suffice. Don't you think?"
"Yeah. Naoya trained you properly." You shoot a scornful stare. He takes a step back, giving you some space. "Just joking. I'm going to start the car. Hurry up." You nod and he walks off.
Spinning in the mirror once more, you attempt to find any faults. Although the dress isn't exactly your taste, you look stunning. Standing by his side, you're sure to seem like a legit couple. Maybe.
Grabbing a clutch purse, you place a few necessities inside, grab a light jacket, and head out after turning off the light. You locked the door behind you and hop in the car. He drives off.
"So, will you tell me where we're going now?"
"Shinjuku. A friend of mine needs me to pick up a package. After, that I will immediately come to you and we will leave." He keeps his eyes on the road, coolly driving with one hand.
"Okay. If you say so." You stare out the window, watching everything pass by in a blur. "This is the first and last job I'll ever do with you. I don't feel comfortable with this situation."
"Honestly, I don't care. Just stay out of the way."
Clicking your tongue, "You should be nicer to me. You forced me on this excursion after all."
Glancing at you for a second, he sighs, "Be grateful I invited you. You can have a night off."
"Don't pretend to be concerned..." You lean back, closing your eyes. He chuckles. "If you were a human, you'd cut me a break."
