Author's POV.

If Jisung were to be asked what his favorite part about the town was. He would say the kids. Jisung wasn't very fond of toddlers and their sticky fingers and snot running down their nose. But they were still cute. So when Jisung passed children running around freely together into candy stores and shops he couldn't help but smile. Reminiscing the days where he was able to do that. When the world wasn't as dangerous as it was nowadays. But it seems no one even looked at the children funny as they walked freely.
"Do kids often run around freely?" Jisung asked Hyunjin. Hyunjin looked down at him before looking back at the children that just passed them.
"Yeah, There isn't much crime in town unless it's from the town over," Hyunjin said. Jisung frowned, slightly glancing at him. Hyunjin's tone sounded more Vague as if it wasn't the complete truth.
"So parents let them roam around?" jisung asked. Hyunjin sucked air through his teeth before furrowing his brow.
"Not all the time. That's why they stick together. And if a stranger walks up the kids usually run off to a store or yell loudly till the person leaves them alone" Hyunjin said. Jisung frowned.
Jisung wasn't going to judge, really. But it wasn't that efficient per say. Or was it safe? Then again it was a relatively small town. When talking to Seungmin earlier he said it was like a small village. But if you were to drive a certain direction for three hours you'd enter Los Angeles.
"Don't worry about it Jisung. The Sheriffs are usually out more in the summer for this reason" Chan suddenly popped in. He threw his arm around his shoulder flashing a small smile.
Jisung could already feel Minho's glare at the back of his head. Felix and Minho were walking in the back while Seungmin was a little bit ahead. Chan had been right behind him and Hyunjin before hearing their conversation.
"If you say so" Jisung muttered.
They all continued walking Down the sidewalk with conversations flowing freely. Jisung stayed silent, letting his eyes shift over places. Chan was right about sheriffs though. He could see sheriff cars passing down the streets patrolling around. It wasn't odd per day but it was much better than Korea. If anyone were to see a crime happening they would turn their head the other direction with their noses up.
Even if Jisung would try to help someone would stop him. And the next day on the news a little girl would be announced as missing and turn up the next week dead in an Alleyway. It was awful, yes. And Jisung felt terrible every time there was a murder even if he never saw the said person. But the many times Jisung has witnessed seeing someone assaulted and could never be able to help he would get sick.
"And we're here!" Hyunjin said brightly. Jisung snapped out of his thoughts, staring
at the store they all stood in front of.'Melody Record's ' Jisung thought to himself, vaguely tilting his head.
"Let's go inside. I know the owner really well" Hyunjin said. He then dragged Jisung into the music shop. Jisung didn't really have an option either as he tripped over his feet entering the store.
When Jisung stumbled in he felt the cool air hit him. Which was a relief since they had all been walking for ten minutes. The second was that music played throughout the store. He could vaguely make out it was a song by The Weeknd, an older song. He wasn't familiar with it, but the man's voice was very easy to make out.
