Up in Mount Olympus, a husband and wife was reading a book.

Menma.

That was the title of the book the two divine beings were reading.

They confiscated them from Aphrodite and Apollo when they didn't pay attention in the meeting held a few days ago.

Coincidentally, the title of the book was also the name of the protagonist of the series.

Menma Namikaze.

The two deities teared up when they found out the surname was the name the male God had when they went to Elemental Nations and lived as Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.

"D-do you think...this Jiraiya is the one we know?" The Goddess asked with teary eyes.

The male deity shook his head and frowned.

"I'm...not sure...besides...the life the boy lived, it shouldn't be possible since we asked Jiraiya and Tsunade to take care of him..."

The female deity returned to the book once again. She read how the boy was kicked out of the orphanage at the age of four, lived on the streets for 6 months and ate from whatever leftover he could find in garbage.

Not only that, they read how in the six months of living on the street, the boy was tortured by the villagers of Konoha, saying that he was the Kyūbi trapped in human form and weakened.

The boy was stabbed, gagged, beaten with a wooden stick, and burnt by the damn villagers, the one that 'Minato' swore to protect.

The worst happened when the boy's birthday arrived.

They named it the Fox Hunt day.

On this day, Menma had to run and survive since he was beaten to the brink of death at that one time until an ANBU with a cat mask helped him.

"I-if this was Naruto's–"

"No, 'Kushina', Hiruzen himself showed us Naruto's body when we went back right after our mortal lives ended."

'Minato' denied fervently, not wanting to believe that this happened to their only son born through the love they had after a very long time.

'Kushina' looked down as tears dropped to the pages.

"But then, how will you explain this...Menma? He has the Kyūbi, an orphan given birth on October 10th, the day we died. It can't be a coincidence, 'Minato'."

The female deity glared at the male one. "I'm certain that Naruto is still alive...maybe...maybe we should check Elemental Nations once more..."

'Minato' sighed and eventually nodded at his wife.

Although he kept denying that Naruto was alive, a small part of him was actually hoping that their son was alive.

And this Jiraiya, he couldn't help but think that the pervert Sennin was somehow sent into this world since he found an Icha-Icha series being released recently.

Two figures wearing plain civilian outfits were walking toward Konoha's gate.

They retained the same look they had as deities and were exceptionally handsome and pretty.

"It's been...quite a time." 'Kushina' said in a reminiscent way.
