Balding Bitch

I get home and immediately call Mo. I wait for her to pick up. As I wait I sit in my desk drawing on my hand. After the first ring she answers. "MO" I scream into the mic.

"BELLY" she screams back "what happened? You called without warning so I know it's important."

I ready myself to explain "ok so remember that whole Bodhi situation?"

She rolls her eyes "yeah that balding bitch."

"Ok so he texted me and, here let me send you the screenshot" I pick up my phone and go to Bodhi's and mines messages, screenshooting them and sending them to Mo.

I see her face get close up to the screen meaning she's reading them. She moves her face away from the screen "Bella he so likes you it's disgusting."

In a calm, nonchalant tone I say "I mean I don't know it's just an uncomfortable situation."

"If I were you I would just reject him now, and record it for me so I can laugh at it"

"Oh my gosh Mo" I lean more into my chair "but genuinely I don't know what to do, I told Mason a-"

She cuts me off "you told Mason? Before me?"

My eyes widen in realization "maybe."

"No it's fine I'm not mad" she starts smiling "you telling him before me means you like like him" she starts moving around while smiling and giggling.

"Ok yeah I do like him but that's off topic" I move my hands in front of me, connecting them by the fingers "moving back on topic, what do I do?"

She gets into a serious expression "ok I say next time he asks you to hang out you say yes and if he tries to, you know, do anything you make things clear."

I take a deep breath in "yeah you're right, ok I'll call you later because I also have to tell Mikey."

"Ok ok, do you want me to tell Xochi and Malachi?"

"Yeah please" I say picking up my phone getting ready to hang up.

"Ok love you bellybutton" she blows a kiss to the camera.

I blow one back "love you too Momo." I hang up and go to Miguel's room. Before entering his room I don't even knock I just walk right in. I open the door and walk straight for his bed sitting down on it.

He doesn't even look towards me "what's up belly, and don't say the sky because I will throw you out of my room."

"Not much just some stuff with Bodhi" I say falling back on his bed.

He immediately faces me "explain." I tell him everything I told Mo and show him the screenshots. After reading them he looks pissed "can't he just leave you alone."

I shrug my shoulders "well he isn't doing anything bad."

He annoyingly sighs "it's annoying as shit, especially when it's obvious you and Mason have something going on."

I begin to say in an explanatory tone "there's nothing official between Mason and I-"

He cuts me off "but you want it to be."

"Can you shut the fuck up and let me speak about my own feelings" I say with a tad annoyance in my voice.

"Yeah my bad" he calms himself down.

"Thank you, but yeah there's nothing official between us and I don't have any interest in Bodhi and I'm just confused like this is all bullshit I swear" I roll my eyes, getting annoyed and frustrated now.

He notices and grabs my hands to lifts me up off his bed "I know belly but just try and take your mind off of it, it's not worth the frustration." I groan as he drags me out of his room "let's go annoy mom and dad to go take us to get ice cream."

My face lights up as we race to their room. We barge in with big smiles on our faces "can we get ice cream" I say as flopping on their bed."

"Please" Miguel says extending the E as he shakes the bed for them to get up.

We continue annoying them until they finally say yes. My mom gets up off the bed "you two are fifteen yet you act five."

"Dad acts five too" I say walking down the stairs.

"You little rat" my dad says as he walks up behind me.

I look up at him and smile cheekily "takes one to know one."

"Do you want your ice cream?" He says trying not to laugh.

I stank eye him "do you want to stay relevant?"

Miguel laughs as my mom comes to break things up "enough" she says pulling my dad by his shirt and to the car.

I laugh following behind them. We get in the car and go to get our ice cream from Baskin & Robins. My dad pulls up "ok what do you want."

I respond first "a brownie sunday with a scoop of cookie dough and rocky road with no cherry."

"I'll get a cone with two scoops of mint chocolate chip" Miguel says.

Our dad orders and we drive forward to the next window. We pay and our dad hands us our ice cream. "Thank you my beloved father" I say taking it from him.

"You are very welcome my demon child" he says turning back after handing Miguel his.

I sit there with a blanke expression as everyone laughs "it wasn't even that funny" I say taking a bite of my ice cream.

"But it was" Miguel says dying of laughter.

I side glance him "I'm gonna smack that ice cream out of your hand."

"That's too far" he says holding his ice cream away from me trying to protect it.

I see the opportunity and take it "and that's what she said" I say moving my head side to side.

We start laughing in the back seat as our parents try their hardest to not give in. While I'm actually having fun I look down at my phone and see Bodhi texted me.
