"It seems that you remembered," the teen said, "I was supposed to prepare a whole welcoming speech, considering that you lost your memories and all."
"Safe to say that I won't be needing it anymore."
Suddenly, a swarm of memories found its way into his brain, faces of the people he hadn't met before, a shrine that seemingly belonged to a high-ranked individual, and the wonderful sight of wheat surrounding what appears to be a countryside or sort.
"These feelings... these emotions... Why do I feel this way?"
"They aren't mine.."
"These are certainly not mine."
This can be overwhelming for someone like him, but at the same time, he was able to understand his situation more. Based on the information he gathered, the person in front of him was none other than Hanabishi Kuruwaya. A caricature of misfit, an imitation of his former self; the idealized incarnation of who he once was. This person had something he didn't have growing up, a family. He was never alone, nor will he be suffering in silence-he has friends who cared for him, a sister who loved him so dearly, and a father who will do everything to keep him safe.
A hint of malice emerged from the room, creating a cold atmosphere between the two individuals.
Hanabishi had the face of an angel, a sovereign grace; a delicate kind of boy. He was the paradigm of a spectacle. They had all of their eyes on this teen, every single one of them. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Especially when it contrasts with him, in their eyes-he was nothing more but a man with a tarnished reputation, a man so bitter that loneliness became his friend.

~ ✦ ~"Hm? Doctor, are you alright?" Hanabishi asked, pointing at his face. "You look quite pale, did I frighten you perchance?"
The man took a few steps forward, there was tension in his eyes, his face was covered in sweat; those involuntary movements on his hands. His heart couldn't stop pounding, it hurts.
"It hurts, it hurts-"
The doctor replied, "Cut the act."
This is only a dream, a fake reality, but he could feel the pain within his chest. He doesn't get it and neither do I.
"Stop pretending that you care, you're not supposed to do that!" the man snapped, grabbing Hanabishi by his collar as he plunged him against the wall. "You are creating a mockery out of this boy."
"He's asleep, so I'm just borrowing his existence for a while." he spat, "And besides, no one will ever notice; not even the audience."
"With me having to use this identity, he'll become the new spectacle," Hanabishi exclaimed, "Even better than you!"
"Imagine the amount of applause we'll receive, oh how lovely will it be!"
The doctor paused for a moment, slowly losing his grip on his collar. "..What do you mean by that?"
