Chapter 3

Pyrrha P.O.V

Despite the long wait for an airship, we finally arrived at Beacon Academy. Jaune and I started running, heading towards the courtyard, where it was quiet. Too quiet, in fact, nobody was here.

Pyrrha: Hey Jaune, does the courtyard look empty to you?

Jaune: Yeah it does, but it's not that surprising. I mean, we just arrived at midnight.

Pyrrha: Yeah, you're probably right.

We continued to walk through the courtyard, noticing lots of things spread everywhere, especially skirts and t-shirts. It was strange. Jaune didn't seem to care and was focused on heading to the door, so I decided not to bother. When we finally arrived at the door, we were about to open it but then heard the scream of an old man or something similar to a pig coming from above us, which echoed outside.

Pyrrha: Did you hear that, Jaune?

Jaune: Yeah, it sounds like it came from up there, in the Headmaster's office.

Pyrrha: Should we investigate?

Jaune: As soon as we've helped Ren in our dorm room, we'll be able to do that.

I thought about it for a moment, thinking it was probably serious, but heading to Ren is our main aim. We enter the Academy and notice the halls are empty with no one walking left or right. Then again it is nighttime, so it is not surprising, I guess. We ran through the hallways. I wanted us to slow down a bit, but we didn't have time as Ren on the scroll seemed scared and yelled at us to head back. Still, I'm still trying to process what Nora is doing to make Ren feel the need to call us.In normal circumstances, he would be able to handle her easily, but now he needs our help. We finally headed to our hallway and were about to open the dorm room until the other door behind us opened. Ruby appeared in her sleepwear. It is very easy to admit she looks adorable in it. I just hope Jaune doesn't find it attractive, otherwise there would be a problem between us. Wait, why did I think like that?

Ruby: Hey Jaune. Where did you two take off?

Jaune: We just head to the city so we can get some stuff.

Ruby: Oh really, you two came back very late. It's almost midnight.

Jaune: Oh well, we just sat for a while.

Ruby: Oh, and what else did you do?

Ruby looked at me with a smirk on her face. I wouldn't mind if she said what I think she was referring to, but it wouldn't be embarrassing if my face turned red and I immediately wanted to have the subject changed.

Pyrrha: U-Um, say Ruby, did your team make it to the headmaster's office to talk about Weiss's brother?

Jaune: Huh? What about Weiss's brother?

Ruby: Yeah, we talked to Professor Ozpin. He promised to call the general about it if he wasn't busy.

Jaune: Wait, did I miss something?

Pyrrha: Oh right, you spoke with Velvet. A Faunus that works in the Schnee Family kidnapped Weiss's brother.

Jaune: Wait kidnapped by a Faunus, that doesn't seem surprising since-

In order to prevent Jaune from going into that subject, I just closed his mouth.

Ruby: Yeah, but the weirdest part is that Weiss told us the kidnapper's last words on the call were "He's mine?"

Jaune: He's mine? Wait what did she mean-

A loud sound was heard from our dorm, leaving Jaune and I confused.
