The helicopter shuddered violently, alarms blaring and flashing red as it plummeted.
Panic threatened to consume her, while she fought with short wiring controls.
"This is actually happening; you're going to crash, Nova." Her earpiece voiced urgently.
The misty clouds gave way to open fields and their walled steel-city in the horizon.
"No." She whispered harshly, yanking the lever with a cry as the ground rushed closer.
The rotor blades whirred, suspending the helicopter in air, before it lurched forward, resuming its dizzying drop.
She screamed, clinging to her seat as it crashed, skidding to a miraculously standing halt.
