In The Darkness

The air lingered with the odour of sweat and heat. The sun was blazing down and Tauriel was sipping a mango slushy in the corner of her local coffee shop. Her hands were wrapped around the cool cup when her stomach dropped.

She was plunged down a hole.

The metal bars creaked with age as Jace prised them apart. "Now go!" He hissed under his breath. Tauriel slipped through gracefully, successfully getting her messenger bag through too. Then Tauriel stood, ready for anything, guarding as Jace made the gap more fit for him.
