whether they be family, friends, or something else, if someone is close to you, they will probably see your search history. now, sure, there might not be anything incriminating, but if you are reading this on wattpad.com, then i have the inkling (splatoon reference???) that you have at least something embarrassing.
and before you go 'oh, well, i'll just delete it then,' no. that isn't how it works. most of the time, they'll do a proper forensic search of your computer/phone/other and find stuff you've deleted, searched in incognito tabs, etc.
if there's something you've done, they will find it.
this one is one of the major reasons i havent killed myself. sure, i don't like porn, but my character.ai chats and ao3 history is enough to keep me living. nothing smutty, but plenty of stuff i don't need my parents knowing about.
