Nora's POV
"No." I quickly picked up my stuff that I just dropped, "I'm not doing this. You are not training me." I shook my head violently and stormed off to my fathers office.
"Nora- wait." Harry muttered in the distance as I stormed away.
He can't be serious. He definitely did this on purpose to try to make me feel better. We left off on terrible terms with some random girl coming up to his penthouse after we finally made a breakthrough in our relationship.
I refuse.
I rapidly entered my dads office, barging the door open with my free hand, my workout bag in the other. "Please tell me that Harry is not my trainer." I stared directly at my father, barely even noticing that Lennon was also in the room.
"Nora, sweetheart, he's the best in the business and-"
"No". I shrugged and cut him off, "I'm not doing it. I'll find another gym to train at." I turned around to start walking out of the office.
"If you step out of this office and out of this training facility, I will never speak to you again. All your ties will be cut off and you'll be on your own." My dad blurted out in a stern tone.
What the fuck?
I slowly turned back around, facing him again. I looked over at Lennon who sat very quietly with wide open eyes, unsure of how to act at this moment in time.
"Seriously? It's that important to you that I train with Harry that you would put our entire family at risk?" Feeling my eyes welling up, I quickly choked it back. I can't show him my emotions, not right now.
He nodded his head, folding his arms in front of him and leaning back into his office chair, "You've known Harry for years, Nora. You should feel comfortable with his presence. He will make you a champion, just like you want. Now please, I'm begging you to go out there and give it a chance." He looked me directly in the eyes.
If only he knew about my past with Harry. He would never let me near him.
I scoffed and turned back towards the door and walked back into the main part of the training facility. I looked at the training pad that Harry sat at in the distance, contemplating all of my life decisions.
With hesitation, I started back towards the pad with my bag in hand. I avoided eye contact with him as I got closer. I walked up the steps and entered the training ring, setting my bag on the ground. I sat criss-cross on the floor next to my bag and unzipped it, pulling out all of my training supplies.
It's been a long time since I've trained at this level but I'm ready to get back into it. I just wish my first time back didn't have to be with him.
I grabbed a fresh roll of tape and started to unroll it, wrapping the tape around my right wrist and knuckles, through the section between my thumb and index finger. I was a little rusty on how exactly to wrap but I just did whatever felt right. Through the corner of my eye, I saw a large figure heading towards me and I sighed, knowing it was Harry.
I decided to continue to tape and ignore his presence, but the tape kept turning and getting stuck to itself. "Fuck." I muttered in frustration and attempted to bite the messed up part off the roll.
Harry squatted down next to me and grabbed the tape from my mouth and ripped the bad piece off. "Here, let me show you the best way to wrap." He mumbled, holding the wrap in his hand that was already decorated.
"I know how to wrap my own hands, but thank you." I spat and attempted to grab the roll of tape.
He quickly pulled his hand away with the tape, not allowing me to grab it. "Well, miss know-it-all. If you knew how to wrap it properly, I wouldn't be here ripping off bad pieces of tape now would I?" He chuckled to himself.
