Waking up, I was surprised to see myself back in the room of the great panda. Everything looked different, and terrible. Near me there was something like a great roaring fire, and evil looking people around it.
But then I remembered that I had just awoken, and everything is horrible when you just wake up. Therefore I put those visions of horror out of my mind, thinking them only contrived out of the wickedness of waking up, and the shock the mind goes through.
I tried to look now at things as happy, and not as terrible, training the mind towards joy. One way that makes me happy is humming, so I hummed a low tune to myself.
"Di-es Irae, di-es filla"
Accompaniment of chants I soon heard, and looking around, I saw my friends. They had joined in my tune, and were now chanting to fill out the rhyme. All of them were slowly closing in trying to give me a hug.
The low chants, and hugs quite cheered me up. The morning now seemed pleasant.
My friends surrounded me, and picked me up. This seemed a little much, for we had been merry before, but parading me around? That was a little much. But I let it slide, for we should always appreciate when love is shown.
I noticed we passed the panda bear, and continued our way to the great campfire. Chanting all the while, we slowly reached the fire. I asked who brought the marshmallows, they acted like the question was ridiculous.
My friends seemed very interested in the fire. I think it might have been the poor creatures' first they had built, and they were seeking my approval. For they kept looking at me, and the fire. Pointing at me, and then the fire.
Now I must be a simple man, for nothing seemed so great about that campfire. There must have something special in it if l looked close up. For they started to bring me close to the fire, very close. I said, I was fine, that the fire was good, and I didn't need to see it up close. None of them heard me though, for the closer I got to the fire, the louder the chants rang out.
I never got to see what was so special about that fire, for when I was getting so close to that fire to see the secret. Jillenton came in, and halted our friendly 'show-and-burn'. I still wonder what was so great about that fire, though I am thankful that Jillenton stepped in. The fire was so close, it seemed like they would accidently burn me. Jillenton was very upset at his servants, and I never saw any of them again.
When I look back now on my friends, I realized that I never really knew them. We had never gotten past the hellos.
Lord Jillenton wanted to get back to business. He brought me back into the observing room again.
"Now, you say I shouldn't have them work for no reward. What should I do?" asked Jillenton.
"Yes, the great panda bear showed me something. I will try to convey what he showed me," I replied, trying to get into the working mood.
I ordered for a glass of lemonade, for one can't work without refreshment. I wanted to show, as well as tell how a human should be when he worked. This example Jillenton didn't seem to notice, but he fulfilled my wishes, and brought me the lemonade.
In thirty minutes we started planning, and observing. For I had asked for a chair, fan, food, more lemonade, and mini concert before we started.
Jillenton took my methods in with great amusement, he watched as I was furnished with the essentials. He particularly found the music interesting, for I asked for a concert of Beatles music. But when they brought out a literal beetle, and all sat round that bug, expecting something to come out of him. I knew I wasn't going to get them to understand, so I canceled the concert. They, Jillenton's advisers, were upset, and wanted a refund on their tickets, which I never gave.
We finally got to work.
I started with a long monologue about the importance of laziness, with my chief argument, that humans would not grow if they were not lazy. Then I took my sweet time talking about the pursuit of happiness, and how that's what the panda wanted for the people.
"How shall we bring about these pleasures?" asked Jillenton.
"First we must establish a form of government, a way of law, which increases joys. I think the first, and most idea must be that work is terrible. Then make everyone equal, for they say all men are created equal. Which that idea really adds up."
"Ok, so all men are equal, what about women?" asked Jillenton.
I had never thought of that. Maybe the founding fathers were up to something. Maybe it was true that only men, and men were equal, but that women were better, and on a higher plane. But in a moment of pride I said something like, it means mankind...but I have my doubts.
"One more question," said Jillenton, "In whose eyes? In whose eyes are we equal? For physically, mentally, and spiritually, no human is the same."
I had also never thought of this. I was feeling that Jillenton might see through me, and my sayings. I was certain that there was an answer, but I couldn't think of one, so I started talking, and hoped good words would come into my mouth.
"Uh, all humans have value, they all have an equal right to wealth. They should all be wealthy." I personally really like this line of thinking, so I implemented the thought.
We applied the thoughts on a test world. Universal wealth, to all humans. We first gave every human on the world one million dollars, and with no way of making more. Chaos soon ensued, and everyone wanted their neighbor's money. They all started banding together, and taking on other groups of people.
Jillenton, and I started placing small bets on certain sects of humans. In a surprising turn of events, the Mountain Rankers, who had an over/under of +300, upset the Fluff Dragons gaining control of the world.
I won $43.52 that day.
Though it was good, and very fun, we decided it could be better. It wouldn't be great to live in that world, and it also wasn't great for Jillenton's wallet.
So we changed up the system, and created a self-sustaining world. Well, one of those isn't possible, so Jillenton made a supermarket of everything that would not run out. Jillenton had to work hard to accomplish that, and keep it going, but he finally did it.
We sat, or more like I sat back to look at all the hard work in action. Jillenton had to be constantly running around keeping the world going.
There was peace, and contentment on the world. No one had to work, so no one did. I got Jillenton to build a house for everyone, and provide anything they could possibly want. This made contentment even more widespread.
I fast-forwarded in time just a bit to see how things were going in two years. I was genuinely surprised at what I saw. For that was the lousiest bunch of humans I've ever found.
You mean, I'm a firm believer in laziness, but they were taking it too far. They acted as if there wasn't any joy in life. One would need to just look into their eyes to see all of what was going on inside, which was nothing. They all had clearly lost their love of life.
It scared me so much at seeing how dead they were, I jumped back. Unfortunately in the process I knocked the world over. It fell, and was destroyed.
Jillenton was very wroth with me at my accidental world annihilation. I told him that we were now square from our previous bets.
He said it was fair.
