"I fucked up okay... I know!" I said crying
"Now they're talking about if you're fit to care for Willow! If they charge you you're gonna lose custody!" My momma yelled
I'm out on bond for assaulting Ten. They city is also charging me for child engagement and neglect because Pumpkin was there while it happened. He also decided to actually press charges and he's filing a restraining order.
"I don't want that to happen" I said wiping my face
"You did this shit to your self Kairi. You better pray to GOD. You better pray he is on you side today" she said shaking her head
"Got me walking in court like I'm still not wanted for shit 20 years ago" my dad mumbled irritatedly while fixing his collar
I stood up and walked to Pumpkins room. She playing with on of her toys on the floor so I sat down. She walked over to me and leaned on me.
"I love you so much Pumpkin... like to the bottom of my heart." I mumbled holding her
"Let's go Kairi!" My dad yelled
I stood up and walked in the livingroom. I gave Pumpkin to Kari since she was watching her while we were at court. We left out and my dad began driving to the court house. The ride was silent up until we pulled up and my lawyer was standing waiting for me.
"Morning Ms Williams... you ready?" He asked and I nodded
We walked inside and waited for my time to go in. When it was time we walked in and I seen Ten, his lawyer, And Tatiyana on his side...
The time started and the judge came in. He introduced our cases and we both argued both our sides. I told the whole truth and I took full accountability for what I did.
"In the ruling of defendant. I order you on year of probation. Court mandated anger management therapy 2 times a week until the therapist feels you do not need it any longer."
"On one count of child endangerment you are found guilty. Until the court mandated therapist says you are good then you will have 2 supervised visits a week for two hours with the maternal grandparents because of the restraining order"
"Wait?! I don't have custody of my daughter?!" I yelled confused
"Mr. Smith quiet you client down. As I was saying... full custody of Willow Sariya Onwukeme will be appointed to Tenoch Saage Onwukeme until Ms.Williams completes therapy" he said
"Mr. Onwukeme you have been awarded the Restraining order against Kairi Marie Williams. She must remain at least 100 feet away from you at all times except in case of emergency of the child" he said banging the his gavel
"Fuck fuck fuck" I mumbled while crying

"Kairi you need to leave. You're not supposed to be here when Ten picks her up" my mom said trying to take Pumpkin from me
"Momma chill I just need to talk to him" I said seeing his car pull up
"Chill?! Girl have you lost your!—" she said walking towards me but my dads held her back
I quickly walked outside and seen him slowly get out the car with a hospital boot on his leg. The passenger door also opened and Tatiyana got out.
"What the fuck? Kairi you not supposed to be here" Ten said irritatedly while slowly walking up to me
"I just wanted to talk to you Ten. Why would you bring her to my parents house?!" I asked while mugging him
"We was on our way to the doctor"no said
"Mhm. She don't look pregnant" I said giving him a look
"She just had my son last week Kairi. Can I just get Willow before I'm late" he said
"Don't think you finna have that girl raising my daughter like y'all some big happy fucking family. She still my daughter" I said wiping my tears
"I wouldn't do that to you Kairi. You just got to work on you... " he said slowly taking her from my arms
"Look Tenoch I'm sorry" I said with pleading eyes
"Save it Kairi. That shit don't work no more." he said walking away
I sadly walked back in the house and gathered my stuff.
"Kairi you're gonna be okay" my momma said trying to comfort me
"Maybe this will teach you're actually grown and actions do have consequences"
"Kash" My momma said giving him a look
"Nah baby you know what. This shit is our fault. We spoiled this girl too fucking much. I admit most of it is my fault but I ain't know I was creating a damn monster. She never had to deal with real world shit at all. We pay her rent, phone bill, car note, and hella other shit for 23 years. That shit gone change now" he said folding his arms
"Alright Kash that's a little overboard" she said giving him a look
"No it's not. If she keep going down the same fucking Road Pumpkin ain't gon have no fucking mama to lookup to. I know what an ain't shit mother look like and if she wanna be that then she damn sure going down the right path" he said scoffing
"We're disappointed in how you've been acting over this last year and a half. Let that sink in Kari" he said staring at me
"I will" I said nodding my head
I stood up and began walking out the door. I got inside and drove home. Once I got there I walked to my room and laid face first on my bed. I started crying and it lasted for at least 3 hours.
I heard knocks at my door so I quickly fixed myself and went to open it. It was Aali and Siah who instantly pulled me into a hug.
"Y'all I fucked up so bad" I said sniffing
"It's gonna be okay Kai..." Aali said rubbing my back
"Yea shit could be worse. Atleast you still get to see her and your not in jail or some shit." Siah said
"I'm so stupid! They came out of nowhere with those child endangerment charges. Ten knows I would never hurt my own fuckin daughter" I said wiping my eyes
"We know you wouldn't do that"
"This is not fair! He's not even her real father!" I blurted out angrily
"What?!" They both said confused
"Ten is not Pumpkins biological father... we didn't wanna tell anyone but Cyx is her real father" I said sighing
"That makes hella sense! She don't look shit like Ten ass. I was better off being the staddy hell" Siah joked
"You deadass...?" Aali asked in a weird tone while looking at me
"Yea..."
"Does he know?" She asked
"No... I should have been just told him when I got the results back like 6 months ago" I said putting my head in my hands
"You got to tell him Kai" Siah said
"I know..." I mumbled
Siah and Aali stayed with me for the rest of the day and the whole time Aali was acting a little weird but I ignored it.
