Chapter 23

Christina and Mom went to a little river and were talking. Mom tried to explain Christina what Nick feels. They were going to leave. Mom stopped Christina and gave her, her phone. Christina hugged Mom and looked down to her phone.

'Come on, call him.' Mom laughed.

'Thank you!' Christina smiled and went to a tree. She turned on her phone and didn't trust her eyes. 23 missed calls, 8 unread messages, 5 unheard voice messages. She opened the messages and read.

'Honey, what's up??'

'Come on! I'm worried!'

'I miss you!'

'Christina, I love you!'

Then, the last message. She was shocked.

'If you don't answer in the next hour, I'll take the next plane. I'll find you! You're my one and only love and I won't give up! I don't know what I have done, but you'll be my heart. Forever.'

Christina was nearly crying, but then she looked at the time. She knew he will loose his job, if he's coming. No, that couldn't happen. She typed his number and started the call. She waited.

'CHRISTINA!! OMG!! ARE YOU OKAY!!??' Nicks voice came out.

'Nick!' Christina started crying.

'Honey, what the heck is wrong?? Is something with Lisa? Or another sister?'

'Omg, I don't know how to say sorry... No, Lisa is okay and so are all my sisters. I... I thought your job is more important than me.. I'm sorry, I was totally owned by my feelings and I had so much of them... Nick, please forgive me and don't take a plane! You will loose your job, so you can't leave!'

'Chri.. Chris... I would never have something more important than you. You're the most important thing for me. Well, you're the most important human in the world. The saved place for me is on your site.'

Christina stopped breathing for a moment. This words gave her the feeling to be a really honored human.

'Christina? Please talk to me... I need to be sure that you're okay.'

'Nick... You're the best...'

At this time, Dad messaged her. She read for a moment.

'Please come back, the doctor called me. -Dad'

Christina wondered and got worried.

'Nick, Dad messaged me, he said Lisa's doctor called him and I should come back.. I'm worried!'

'Omg sweetheart, go to Lisa, she's your sister!'

'And you're okay with it, Nick?'

'Yes! You're important for Lisa, she needs you!'

'Okay, Nick, I'll call you back soon and I'll tell you about Lisa. I love you!'

'I love you more, bye sweetheart!'

Christina ended the call and ran back to the hospital. Dad was waiting in the front of it. Kath was by his side.

'Dad, what happened??' Christina asked out of air.

'A doctor called me. He said hat Lisa maybe needs a strict plan for food. They said it seems like Lisa's stomach isn't able to reconnect to food automatically. And this could be very dangerous because of the insulin tho.' Dad said.

Christina looked to Kath and Dad grabbed Kath's and Christina's hand. He saw that they were afraid.
