Chapter 36

"Are we almost there?" Dr. Loomis asked Police Chief Robin for the 20th time. He sighed and rolled his eyes, "Loomis, I'm driving as fast as this car can take me." He told him, keeping his eyes on the road. "Well you're not driving fast enough! We need to get there quick what if she's-

"We're here, Dr. Loomis." Robin said.

Robin pulled the police car over to the side of the highway. There were already a bunch of police cars there, including an ambulance and tow truck. But to Loomis's relief , no coroner van. He wasted no time hopping out of the car and racing over to where everyone else were, getting ahead of Robin. There were firefighters there removing a wrecked car from a ditch. The police officers where in a circle talking. "Where is she?" Dr. Loomis asked them. "She's in the ambulance." One of the police officers said. Loomis walked to the ambulance, a paramedic was getting into the back and was about to close the door but Dr. Loomis stopped him. "How is she? Is she alive?" He asked him. "She's fine but she's unconscious and will need to be sent to the hospital to treat her head and leg injury." He told Loomis.

"And any sign of-"

"No, there's no sign of Myers." The paramedic said, he then closed the door and the ambulance drove off. Loomis stuffed his notepad back in his coat pocked and walked back over to where Robin and the police men were, still talking. "There's no sign of him, so she was driving the car herself." Dr. Loomis said. "Don't blame her, she was probably driving to escape that maniac, I mean after all the things he's been forcing her to do, all the killing-"

"Forcing?" Loomis questioned him. "Well yeah, you don't think she'd do it all on her own do you? You know that's his thing." Robin told him. Loomis was going to speak but someone was calling his name, he looked up and saw Laurie running towards him.

"Laurie! There you are! What's the matter?" Loomis said, "I saw him." She said panting from the running, "He was with her, he took her with her. I was trying to shoot him, but she was in the way and-"

"WHAT?! What do you mean he was with her? Where?!" Loomis asked her. "Last night.. They were both in Chesterfield- at the Sand Cove Trailer Park. He's been killing people there! He's been taking her with him-"

"But where is he now!?" Dr. Loomis asked.

"I-I don't know, I tried to follow them but they were already gone and-"

"GUYS! There's been a report of a fire!" One of the fire fighters said. Everyone was now running back to their police cars and to the fire truck. "Where?" Robin asked, the firefighter pointed behind him, he turned around saw a massive cloud of black smoke.

"Dear god.." Robin said.
