Arwah Pov:
I lay there barely able to move, as I heard muttering. One of them is the man who kidnapped me 4 years ago.
---
Everything was black until I heard his voice. "Arwah, my love. I miss you." I realised who it was immediately. Tears welled up in my eyes. It was the guy I used to love when I was young that turned my life into a living hell. Muhammad Irfan Sheikh. My eyes welled up as I fought to escape. I couldn't move, I was paralysed in fear. I knew this was the end.
I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable. I sat up looking at my surroundings, realising I was in a car. Next to me was my bag and on the other side was my phone. It was shattered into pieces, like Ibrahim's heart. I looked forward and I saw the guy I hated the most. His brunette hair was messy and never brushed. His brown chocolate eyes, looking right at me, trying to figure out who I am now.
My thoughts were interrupted by his manipulative voice."I looked for you everywhere. Now no one can take you away from me." With all the courage I had left, I pleaded, "Irfan, leave me alone. I don't want to be with you. It was one insult that caused you to leave me. Let me go. I don't love you anymore."
"But princess, I planned our whole future together. Who is this man that has stolen your pure heart?" as he tried to speak lovingly
"A way better person than you. He never cheats, and he never lies. Unlike you, you lied to me saying I was the only one, while you talked to other girls behind my back. Including my cousin and older sister."
"Love, it was for your good. Now I have you. We can be happy together."
"I'll never be happy with you. I'll run away as I did before."
His smile curled up as he looked through his phone, tapping as he spoke, "I don't think you'll do that now that your loved one is in danger" he showed a picture of the guy I liked for years sitting in a field looking at the sky. "Now tell me, baby, one click away and he'll be taken away in an instant" his other broad hand slowly crept underneath my hijab and grabbed my neck. I wanted to tell him to leave me alone, but I knew if I made a mistake, he would be tortured along with me. "Good girl."
I avoided thrashing and rejecting him with all my strength. He smiled lovingly with a mask covering his face, while he gently lifted his hand away from me and sat back down and looked forward. He told the man in the driver's seat to go to the destination where I would live with him.
The smell of burning rubber erupted into my nose as the window was open. All I could hear through the layers of headwear I was wearing was the car driving. The black leather seats pressed onto my pure hand-made silk Abaya, giving me shivers through my whole body knowing my body won't accept this presence at all.
After a while the car stopped and the door was opened. As I looked forward where the air was diffusing with the air I was trapped in, I hoped the face I would see would be the face of love and familiarity but it was the face of evil and manipulation that approached me. He took my tied hands and snapped the fibre rope from my wrists. The ruff of the strings created friction within my skin leaving splinters and red slashes on my wrists.
He dragged me out as I stumbled with each step I took. The unfamiliar path walks clicked with my shoes, and he recognized each step it took. I tried to break free, dragging my weight to the other side. But he yanked me towards him like I weighed nothing as I was worth nothing... I lost my balance and grabbed onto the first thing I could find. His arm. My eyes widened as I snatched my hands away from his disgusting facade. He then spoke, "Remember what I told you, baby? If you try to run away from me, your love will be destroyed in an instant." My heart stopped immediately as my eyes widened in fear. He knew that the only way he could stop me from running was to threaten me that he would kill him. The man I left was heartbroken but free from the sins we could have committed together.
He guided me to the place where I could see the glowing sign for the Dammam Palace Hotel. As I looked up, I saw the building where I would have to stay with the man that dragged me to this modern building. I would have to call one of those rooms my chamber for the night. The windows overlap. Against a blue-tinted wall, dim lights blurred faces beside loved ones. A tear fell from my orbs, touching my delicate pale skin as I had not eaten for how long... I cannot remember.
Thoughts ran through my head, regretting every decision I've made in my past. I felt my wrist ache as he touched my fingers and guided me to this modern place where no woman like me should be alone.
As I was forced into this cage, the delicate glass reflected the light rays enlightening the room. But a dark spirit was present. He stood there still holding my wrist in case I ran away the second he loosened his grip, but I never planned to do so. Because if I did, then it'll be my fault and I would be the reason one man I love... would be killed.
