You gazed with jealousy filling your eyes at the soon-to-be couple. The king announced the engagement of his son, Prince Jungkook with Princess Yeonjung. Yeonjung was lovingly staring at her soon-to-be husband. At first, Jungkook was not paying any attention to her but later he turned to her and gave her a small smile but it didn't seem to reach his eyes.

Everyone present in the room was happy except you. You cried internally, the love of your life would soon get married to another woman in front of your eyes. How bad your luck is? You had no place in Jungkook's life. You couldn't even become the prince's concubine because he never saw you as more than just a friend.

Suddenly you heard the sound of clapping. At that moment everyone was staring at you and congratulating you. Even Jungkook and his fiancee congratulated you.

You were so deep in your thoughts that you didn't even realize what happened. Soon your super excited parents hugged you. You stared at them with a confused look on your face.

"What is happening here?"

Everyone started laughing at your sudden question, which made you more confused.

"We'll, His Majesty has fixed your wedding with the prime minister, Kim Namjoon."

Your eyes popped out at the information you just received from your father. No, it can't happen, you will never marry a man twice your age. Moreover, he is already married with two daughters.

As you reached home, you rushed straight towards your room, ignoring the stares of your grandmother and little sister. You let the tears roll down your eyes as you entered your room. Your whole life turned upside down in just a few minutes.

Announcing Jungkook's wedding with Princess Yeonjung was not enough that the king even announced your wedding with a man twice your age. You just wanted to kill the king at this moment.

You turned around to find your mother standing at the entrance of your room. She got worried after seeing your room was a mess and your eyes were red and puffy from crying.

"What are you saying Y/N? Everything was decided by the king himself, you can't back out from this wedding?"

"I don't know anything, mom. I will only marry for love."

"Love can happen after marriage too. You just need to give birth to a son, Lord Namjoon will kiss the floor you walk on."

Your mother tried to make you understand but you were not ready for this wedding.

"The wedding will take place after two days whether you like it or not, so prepare yourself for the same. I'll not talk about our conversation with your father."
