~The day that changed everything~
You are the answer I've waited for
All of my life
Oh, show yourself'Holdenbier is my land, where I was born, despite not having asked to be the heir to the throne, not even wanting it, life put me there.
After the death of my mother, whom I vaguely remember, my father and the dozens of teachers he imposed on me, I was brought up to believe that leading the kingdom was my only duty, my only aspiration in life, until I met Rayner.
Rayner was the opposite of me, everything I should despise, according to my father, a simple human shield to protect me if something bad happened, a knight.
At first it was just simple glances and some unimportant greetings, but one day I dared to ask him to come into my room and rest a little, as the guard shifts were very tiring, when I asked him, he was very surprised.
"I don't think I should come in..." The dark-haired boy replied blushing, leaving his shield by the side of the door.
"I insist, I wouldn't feel well while you stand there for hours."
"It's my duty as a knight of the realm," Rayner said with his big green eyes in a very serious look.
"All right," the prince headed for the door but before closing it, he lunged at the shield that the king had left upright and threw it into his great room.
"My prince-"
"Sorry, I've lost my head," said the blond in a tone of irony, "you'll have to go in and get the shield."
Rayner looked at him puzzled and decided to enter the prince's large room, a very wide room with a large window overlooking the whole kingdom, but the shield had fallen right on the heir's large bed.
The dark-haired boy took off his sturdy metal boots to pick up the shield that was right in the middle of the large bed, while a cute giggle could be heard from the prince, who reached over to help the knight pick up the shield.
Suddenly, as the two lay on the bed, the knight reached out to pick up the shield, but the prince kicked the shield and moved it towards the pompous cushions of the bed, to which the knight was surprised and looked bewildered.
"Why did you do that?" exclaimed the knight in astonishment.
The blond did not say a word, and waited patiently for the knight to go for the shield, starting a struggle between the knight and the prince that ended with one on top of the other, looking at each other intensely and almost sweaty from the battle, they did not last long in that position, as the door of the prince's room closed suddenly.
The dark-haired man took the opportunity to grab the shield and head for the door, but when he tried to open it he couldn't, they were locked in.
They were trapped inside the room until a servant opened it in the morning, and they did not sleep for a second, as the two were talking for hours.
After that night, the knight would stay a few more hours after his shift inside the prince's room, and the two had a great time together, forging a very strong relationship, until one day it changed.
One day, the prince dared to confess his feelings to the knight, afraid that he would not feel the same or inform his father of what had happened, but it was much better than he expected.
The dark-haired man was silent at first, but he quickly gave him a kiss that made the prince blush, and they understood that they were destined for each other, he could finally show himself as he really was, if only before the gentleman.
From that moment their relationship became much stronger, and they even met more times during the day, the gentleman skipped lunches with his companions to spend more time with the prince. Everything was going great while they kept their relationship a secret, the years passed and their love only grew with time, until one day while they were lying in bed his father appeared.
