By the end of the week, Sebastian and I were like best friends. I loved spending all my time with him, when I wasn't with Artie or Kylie.
"So, let me get this straight. There's four of you?!" He asked and I laughed a bit. We were walked down the hall talking about our families; me wearing ripped skinny jeans, a grey graphic t-shirt and "REBEL WITHOUT COUTURE" converse. I had a black hoodie over top of my shirt, a winter hat over top of my straight purple hair and my makeup was a bit plainer than usual.
"And only one is a boy?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yep! Acadia, better known as Kylie, is 17, I'm 16, Artie is 15 and Alyssa is almost 14. We're all a year apart." I said and he nodded, confused.
"And you all start with A?" He asked and I nodded.
"When I was born, they decided they really liked the name Acacia, as well as Acadia, so they used it, and just started calling me Casey and her Kylie because it was only one letter off and very confusing for both of us." I explained and he laughed.
"I was thinking about going for coffee after the bell. Would you like to join?" He asked and I nodded. It'd be our first time hanging out outside of school, so I was a little nervous. So nervous, I tripped over someone's foot, grabbing onto Sebastian for stability, but he wasn't expecting it, so he fell as well, landing on top of me, laughing with me.
"Are you alright?" He asked, laughing and I nodded, making eye contact with him. We stopped laughing as we stared into each other's eyes, then he did the unthinkable. He leaned down and kissed me right on the lips.
It shocked me, since I wasn't expecting it, but I quickly started kissing back.
"Ahem." We heard someone clear their throat, so we pulled apart quickly and he helped me up. I was standing right in front of a less than pleased Kylie.
"I'm leaving now. Are you coming or what?" She asked in a bitchy tone. She must have had a bad day or someone called her ugly or something.
"Uhh no. I'm gonna go out with Sebastian for a little while." I said and she nodded.
"Fine, but if you need a ride later, don't call me. I'm not coming for you." She said, walking off. Her heels clicked the whole way and I rolled my eyes, turning back to Sebastian.
"I wish I had a loving older sister like Kylie. She's so charming." He said and I laughed.
"Shut up." I giggled, smacking his chest. We walked out to his car and got in, putting on some music and he drove to the Starbucks downtown.
"Hi, could I get a large vanilla bean latte please?" I asked the guy behind the counter and he nodded, punching it in.
"What's your name?" He asked and I sighed.
"Acacia." I said and he looked at me funny.
"A-C-A-C-I-A." I spelled out and he quickly wrote something before handing the cup to someone else to make the drink.
"So what are we?" I asked as I sat down across from him, drink in hand.
"What do you mean?" He asked and I sighed.
"Are we still just friends despite the fact that we kissed? Are we going to cheesily admit our feelings for each other now because we kissed? Are we going to get married and have adorable little glee babies now because we kissed?" I asked and he laughed a bit. I could tell that he didn't really want to answer because he was too nervous, but I wanted to know, because if he said he wanted to start dating, there was no way I was going to say no.
