"I would love nothing more than for you to be my girlfriend, Casey Abrams. You're beautiful, sweet, charming, which you probably learned from your incredible sister Kylie, and you're incredibly talented." He said and I smiled, nodding.
"I would love nothing more than to be your girlfriend, Sebastian Smythe." I said and he smiled, putting his hand on top of mine.
I knew that rushing into it was stupid. After just a week of knowing each other, we'd gone from strangers to best friends, then to boyfriend/girlfriend. The only thought that kept me going was knowing that I wasn't as bad as The Little Mermaid. It wasn't like I had fallen in love the first time I saw him, traded my voice and everything I knew for a pair of legs to try and lure him into marrying me with just my body and good looks within three days.
True, it was a stupid reason to keep going at that pace, but it seemed right to a stupid teenager with no hobby. I was dating my best friend from that point on, so nothing bad could come of it... right?
*Sebastian's POV*
It had been only 20 minutes and I was pretty sure Casey Abrams was the one. Yes, I knew it was too fast and stupid of us to move so quickly, but she was in my life at that point, and I didn't want to have to imagine living without her anymore.
When I dropped her off at her house after getting coffee, she kissed my cheek and I swear I felt sparks flying everywhere and my legs would've melted if I'd been standing. I went straight home from there, where I ran into my mom in the kitchen.
"Well, someone seems weirdly happy today. What's wrong with you?" She asked, laughing a bit at my strange behaviour.
"How could there be something wrong when everything is going so right in the world?" I asked dreamily, drinking some of my water and she looked at me, eyebrows raised and a skeptical look on her face.
"Okay. What's going on?" She asked and I smiled.
"I asked Casey Abrams to be my girlfriend, and she said yes. I think she might be the one." I said happily, and her face dropped a bit.
"Uhh Sebastian... don't you think you're moving a bit fast?" She asked and I looked at her, confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked and she sighed.
"You've only known Casey Abrams for a week. How can you be sure she's the one? You haven't even been on a proper date with her yet." She said and I sighed, knowing she was right.
"Look, I'm so happy that you're happy, and I love Casey. She's a fantastic girl. But I just feel like maybe you two should slow down. I don't want to hear next week that you're engaged or having a baby or something." She said, laughing a bit at the end and I smiled, knowing she was trying to add some humour in there to make me feel better.
"I'm gonna go binge watch something on Netflix. I'll see you for dinner." I said and she nodded, kissing my cheek and I went upstairs feeling less happy and more deflated than ever.
*Acacia's POV*
Sebastian had promised he'd text me when he got home so I'd know he was alright, so when I never got a text, I was beginning to worry until my phone started making the TARDIS landing sound, signalling that I had a text.
From: Sassy Pants
Message: I'm home and I'm watching Netflix. Care to join?
To: Sassy Pants
Message: I'll be there in a few!
"Mom! I'm going to Sebastian's!" I called to the living room while grabbing my keys.
"Okay! Be safe!" She called back and I nodded, leaving the house and getting into my black Honda Civic.
When I arrived, he was cuddled up in blankets on his bed watching Happy Tree Friends and looking a bit sad.
"Hey, buddy... you okay?" I asked, sitting on the bed beside him and he paused the TV, looking up at me.
"I am now." He said, opening the blanket so that I could cuddle up beside him.
