The Next Day...
Red Hood was on a rooftop as he sees Nick Fury entering his car and started to drive. Red Hood contacts the other Hydra agents.
Red Hood: Fury's leaving. Phase 2 is a go.
With Nick Fury he was driving to the Avengers Compound when Fury stops at a red traffic light, he looks over to the next car and sees the two police officers in the car look at him with suspicion.
Fury: Want to see my lease?
The policemen quickly sound their police horn once before they start to drive off, as Fury goes to drive off suddenly another police car smashes into his car, his car is then surrounded by several other police cars crashing into him; inside his car Fury is injured.
Fury's Car: Fracture detected. Recommend anesthetic injection.
As Fury is giving himself the injection, a SWAT team truck pulls up.
Fury's Car: D.C. Metro Police dispatch shows no units in this area.
Fury is surrounded by the police and SWAT team; he quickly realizes they are all disguised mercenaries; to his car computer.
Fury: Get me out of here!
The Hydra agents start to open fire at Fury's car.
Fury's Car: Propulsion systems offline.
Fury: Then reboot, dammit!
The armor on Fury's vehicle starts to become weaker, the Hydra Agents bring out a battering ram to break in.
Fury's Car: Warning! Window integrity compromised.
Fury: You think? How long to propulsion?
Fury's Car: Calculating.
The Hydra agents start to use the battering ram on Fury's car window.
Fury's Car: Window Integrity thirty-one percent. Deploying countermeasures.
Fury: Hold that order!
The battering ram is smashed against the car window again.
Fury's Car: Window Integrity nineteen percent. Offensive measures advised.
Fury: Wait!
The battering ram is smashed against the window again.
Fury's Car: Window Integrity one percent.
Fury: Now!
Suddenly a minigun pulls up from inside the car and Fury uses it to return fire on the Hydra Agents causing the SWAT truck and some of the police cars to explode.
Fury's Car: Propulsion systems now online.
Fury: Full acceleration, now!
He continues to fire at the Hydra Agents Fury's car automatically backs up and drives off.
Fury: Initiate vertical takeoff!
Fury's Car: Flight systems damaged.
Nick Fury: Then activate guidance cameras!
Fury goes over into the driver's seat.
Fury: Give me the wheel!
Fury takes over driving his car as the Hydra agents chase after him in their police cars.
Fury: Get me the Avengers!
Fury's Car: Communications array damaged.
Fury: Well, what's not damaged?
Fury's Car: Air conditioning is fully operational.
The police cars continue to chase after Fury as he weaves through the cars on the road.
Fury's Car: Traffic ahead.
Fury: Give me an alternate route.
Fury's Car: Traffic alert on Roosevelt Bridge. All vehicles stopped. 17th Avenue clear in three blocks, directly ahead.
As Fury heads into the traffic he smashes into some cars causing a pile up which stops the police cars, the Hydra Agents get out and start shooting at Fury's car, Fury manages to kill two of the Hydra Agents by running them down before getting past the traffic, but the remaining mercenaries continue to chase after him and manage to sandwich Fury's vehicle between them.
Fury's Car: Warning, approaching intersection.
As they approach the intersection Fury manages to shake off the two police cars, killing off the Hydra Agents.
Fury: GET ME. OFF. THE GRID.
Fury's Car: Calculating route to secure location.
Fury then sees the Red Hood. He stands in the middle of the street and Red Hood pulls out a pin from a grenade and tosses it on the road as Fury's car goes over it, it explodes and it causes Fury's car to trip over. Trapped inside his car, Fury watches as the Red Hood walks over to the car but he manages to escape just in time by using a laser weapon to burn a hole out.
Red Hood: Shit.
Red Hood then goes on his coms.
Red Hood: He's gone. But not to worry... I know where he's heading.
He then disconnects the coms.
Red Hood: Time I return home...
At the Avengers Compound Tony is looking at a picture of him and Y/N both smiling. Tony still cannot let go as he looks out the window and sees Fury limping towards the compound.
Steve: What happened to you?
Fury: I was attacked.
Natasha: By who?
Fury: Hydra.
Thor: That's impossible. We stopped them years ago.
Meanwhile Red Hood enters the compound and he sneaks as he sees the Avengers and Fury. Red Hood reloads his pistols.
Fury: Apparently not. I nearly escaped before-
Before he could finish Fury was shot in the head. Everyone looked on in shock as his lifeless body falls to the ground. They look behind them and see Red Hood. Red Hood starts to make a run as the Avengers gear up and chase him. Steve throws his shield but Red Hood turns and catches it. The other Avengers join Steve.
Steve: Who are you?
Red Hood: Call me the Red Hood.
Most of the Avengers thought they recognized that voice. Before they could think War Machine flies in the air and fire at Red Hood but he uses Steve's shield to block his bullets and throw it at War Machine. The other Avengers run in trying to fight Red Hood but he knew every single one of their attacks and easily countered them. He avoided the Hulk as he threw a flashbang at him stunning him. Red Hood then sees the Avengers getting up ready to fight more.
Red Hood: Hail Hydra.
Red Hood drops a smoke screen and escapes. The Avengers return to the compound and see Fury's dead body. Hydra has returned...
