Tony is dragged out of the water by Y/N and he gently drops Tony on the ground as he looks at him one last time before he takes off his helmet and leaves it besides him and walks off. Tony wakes up and looks around and sees Y/N's helmet. He takes it and walks away. At the Avengers Compound the Avengers were trying to find Tony.
Steve: Did you find anything?
Sam: Nothing.
Steve: Keep searching.
They hear a door open and they look and see Tony.
Bruce: Tony.
Tony walks in as they all look at him.
Yelena: Where's Y/N?
Tony holds up Y/N's helmet.
Tony: This was all I found when I woke up.
He looks inside the helmet and sees a note. He reads it.
'I'll forever be grateful for what you and Pepper did for me. I love you, dad. -Y/N Stark.
A tear goes down Tony's face. Meanwhile with Y/N he is in New York as he hears a voice in his head.
Red Hood: We cannot give up. Natasha and Bruce deserves to die for what they did to us.
Y/N: I can't kill Tony... He's my father.
Red Hood: They betrayed us! He's not our father!
Y/N: Shut up.
Red Hood: DO IT!
Y/N: SHUT UP!!!
The voices stop as it begins to rain. Y/N looks up and he walks into a alleyway and finds a cardboard box curled up into a ball to concerve body heat. With Tony he was once again drinking a beer. Everyone at the compuond was still mad at Bruce and Natasha for what they did. Tony looks at a picture of him, Pepper and Y/N. Y/N and Tony both remember a memory.
Flashback...
5 Years Ago...
Y/N was getting abused by his family and at that point he had enough and made the decision to run away. Night came and Y/N packed his stuff and he ran away. The next morning Tony and Pepper were walking in New York.
Tony: Slow down, slow down. I'm totally not kidding.
Pepper: You're totally rambling.
Tony: No, I'm not.
Pepper: Lost me.
Tony: Look, you know how you're having a dream, and in the dream you gotta pee?
Pepper: Yeah.
Tony: Okay, and then you're like, "Oh my god, there's no bathroom, what am I gonna do?" "Oh! Someone's watching." "I'm gonna go in my pants."
Pepper: Right. And then you wake up, and in real life you actually have to pee.
Tony: Yes.
Pepper: Yeah. Everybody has that.
Tony: Right! That's the point I'm trying to make. Apropos of that, last night, I dreamt, we had a kid. So real. We named him after your eccentric uncle. Uh, what was his name?
Pepper: Right.
Tony: Morgan! Morgan.
Pepper: So you woke up, and thought that we were...
Tony: Expecting.
Pepper: Yeah.
Tony: Yes?
Pepper: No.
Tony: I had a dream about it. It was so real.
Pepper: If you wanted to have a kid, you wouldn't have done that.
Pepper points to Tony's chest attachment.
Tony: I'm glad you brought this up, 'cause it's nothing. It's just a housing unit for nano particles.
Pepper: It's not helping your case, OK?
Tony: No, no, it's an attachment, it's not a-
Pepper: You don't need that.
Tony: I know. I had the surgery. I'm just trying to protect us. The future, us, and that's it. Just in case there's a monster in the closet, instead of, you know...
Pepper: Shirts?
Tony: You know me so well. You finish all my sentences.
Pepper: You should have shirts in your closet.
Tony: Yeah. You know what there should be? No more surprises. We're gonna have a nice dinner tonight. Show off this Harry Winston. Right? And we should have no more surprises. Ever. I should promise you.
Pepper: Yes.
Tony: I will.
They and the ywalk when they see Y/N in a cardboard box.
Pepper: Oh my god.
Y/N looks up at them as Tony apporches.
Tony: What are you doing out here?
Y/N: I ran away from home.
Tony and Pepper both look at each other.
Pepper: Why?
Y/N: My parents were abusive. I had no choice.
Pepper walks towards Y/N and kneels.
Pepper: I got a question.
Y/N looks confused until Tony and Pepper nod.
Pepper: Are you hungry?
Afterwards they both adopted Y/N and Tony and Y/N joined the Avengers as Y/N aided Tony and the Avengers in defeating Loki.
Present Day...
Tony smiles at that memory as he gets up and walks away. With Y/N it was still raining as he finally starts to go to sleep when he hears Tony's voice.
Tony: It's not too late son. We can fix this. Together...
A tear go down Y/N's face as he passes out...
