Chapter 7 Just friends?

The tea room in the company has always been a gathering place for gossip. When Xiaoxin was filling the empty water bottle, she heard the conversation between two employees and her heart sank. Since the water storage machine was at a corner behind a wall, which is a dark corner, the two employees thought that there was no one there, so they chatted unscrupulously.

Employee A said in a nympho: "Boss Fang also came to the company for a meeting today, you have to see her later, she's very handsome and charming, with tall and long legs, she's very A!"

Employee B: "Yes, last time I only saw her back, standing next to President Li, they match very well and very pleasing to the eye."

Staff A: "After that, President Li received a bouquet of flowers every day. I heard it was from Boss Fang. Today Boss Fang should deliver it in person. In the past, President Li always rejected the flowers sent by her suitors and then ruthlessly threw them to the secretary to dispose of them. Now the flowers sent by Boss Fang are not only not disposed of but instead ask the secretary to put them in a vase to appreciate them. I think good things are coming soon."

Xiaoxin thought about it and angrily found a picture of a cactus and sent it to Li Xueying. Xiaoxin regretted it after sending it. She was so impulsive for the sake of fighting spirit, which seemed naive but she just couldn't understand that a cold beauty likes the old-fashioned way of pursuing. 

And why did she sent a cactus picture because she thinks that the cactus, which is also a plant, is very special and more suitable for Li Xueying. Xiaoxin returned to her seat, flipped the phone's screen upside down on the table and deceived herself into thinking that what is out of sight is out of mind. After a while, Xiaoxin heard the people next to her whispering, so she looked at them and the direction of their gaze and saw Fang Yi walking into Li Xueying's office with flowers. Xiaoxin sighed, walked out of the office and walked to the roof of the building.

Xiaoxin walked to the edge of the roof, took a pack of cigarettes from the inner pocket of her jacket, took a cigarette, put it in her lips and lit the cigarette with a "click" sound from the lighter. Xiaoxin took a deep breath, looking at the city buildings lined with trees, everyone on the street hurriedly walking in different directions then looked up at the blue sky and white clouds, and then exhaled a wisp of smoke rings. While smoking a cigarette, Xiaoxin looked at the sky and thought: "It's really hard to like someone and it's even more difficult for the other person to like you at the same time." Xiaoxin sighed and walked back to the office after mental preparation.

Returning to her seat, Xiaoxin calmed down and began to work seriously. After a while, the phone rang to remind her of a message. After the meeting, Li Xueying returned to the office and saw Xiaoxin's message, a picture of a cactus. She didn't know why, so she asked her what was wrong.
