'SLOW DOWN' my mother pleads, my father obviously ignoring her yet again, it isn't uncommon for my father to get road rage, usually we deal with it by not talking and eventually he calms down but this time its different. I see his veins bulging out his hands and his knuckles go pale from how tightly his grip is on the steering wheel. All that happened was we took the wrong turn. Yet my father can't seem to slow down.

I start to worry as the raindrops shatter into the windscreen causing a cloudy coating upon the glass, the windows are becoming glazed over in a mist as the rain picks becoming heavier and heavier and it comes to my realization that my father is not intending on slowing down.

My mother is becoming worried as we twirl down windy country roads at such high speeds. 'You're going to get us killed!' she screams, yet its too late, my father has cracked his head round so quick to glare at my mother I'm surprised his neck hasn't fallen off and the car is left in a gory mess, his eyes now off the road ahead of us and instead glaring at my mother, he doesn't see the truck speeding towards us, it's white headlights glaring into our souls. 'WATCH O-'

Everything happens in slo motion, my vocal chords become paralyzed and i squeeze my eyes shut hoping that this nightmare will be over soon, yet it was too late our car is forced to jolt back as we go tumbling down the hill below us, the turbulence twirls my stomach around my brain feels disconnected from my body, the last thing I see is my mother dive towards me and pull me backwards into her small frame, her body acting as a shield to the tree in front of my window.

I AM NOTHING, I feel like nothing, my body is dipping in and out of consciousness my soul being ripped apart, I am underwater my vision gone, I am drowning.

'WAKE UP.'

'GET UP KACEE.'

'KACEE.'

'GET UP.'

'WAKE UP.'

I force myself to pry my eyes open, yet to be greeted by red and blue lights and a siren that drums into my skull, a sharp pain to my neck which floods my brain and body with some force of adrenaline, I feel like I am floating as I slowly turn my neck and let out a muffled cry, my mother is trapped between the car seats and her clothing ripped upon her back, blood seeping through her once pure white clothing.

My face is consumed by a leathery hand slowly stroking my face as I writhe in pain, I try to scream, kick and cry yet no avail, I am dying. My father was now scrunched forward into his seat his blood leaking down the steering wheel his body hunched over the dashboard. Silent tears fall down my face like a heavy acid, leaving my throat to become a gargling mess of saliva while my lungs pounce out of my ribcage.

I look up towards the night sky, my vision fogged with worry and despair as a body towers over me their arms wide to stretch towards me as they cage me in to their chest, I crane my head to see the person carrying me but my vision is blurred and I am met with the face of darkness as my eyelids become heavy 'h-help my mo-' I whisper before I am submerged with the dark
