Chapter 3

Chapter 3 the doctor.
You could go to an abandoned shop and see if there's anything left, Or you could go see if the doctor was still in the old clinic, Michael thinks "that store could have infected stuff, it's best we just head straight to the doctors..can't risk it"You both decide to head to the old Doctor's clinic, You go inside and notice it is covered in dust and dirt, The windows have been barricaded with wood which makes it hard to see inside, You open the door and you both step through, It is dark and dusty inside, You look around at the old equipment, You notice a few empty and mostly broken cabinets, You also notice a door at the back of the room which has been locked by a padlock, How do you proceed? "We should turn back..it's locked for a reason"Michael nods and says "Yeah, I get a bad feeling about this" you turn around and start heading towards the exit when you hear a loud bang, You turn around and look around, You don't see anyone, Then slowly a figure with dark clothes steps forward into the light, He is holding a pistol and he quickly raises it at you, pointing it in your direction. What do you do, You can run, Talk it out or just pull the trigger? "Let's just talk it out he's probably scared right..? The man puts the pistol down but still keeps you both in its sights while he talks, "What the hell do you two want?" He doesn't sound angry, But he doesn't sound happy to see you either, He sounds very confused, You both get the feeling that he's been alone in there for a very long time, He is waiting for a response but doesn't seem impatient, What do you say back? "Who are you" she clenched her knife tightly in her hand.""The name's Doc" he points at his chest with the pistol then lowers it slightly, "Who are you?" He sounds curious but still cautious, He still doesn't seem like he's going to hurt you yet but you haven't given him a reason to trust you yet either, He is looking at both of you, He seems intrigued, But something tells you he could be dangerous. Micheal gulps, "Are you a doctor..?"He nods "I'm a doctor, Why do you ask?" This guy is strange, One moment he seems like he's gonna shoot you and the next he's just interested, you don't have a clear picture of this guy yet, He still looks dangerous though, "how much for these there's about... 8 of them in here"The Doc's eyes light up as soon as you show him the pills, He looks at you and asks "Where did you find them?" he raises his eyebrows and seems shocked at the fact you even have those pills "I'd be willing to pay you whatever they're worth, Whatever you think those are worth" he seems desperate to get his hands on those pills Micheal and Valerie look at each other "I'll give you one for free if u tell me what are these." she looks at Micheal to start the car The Doc pauses to think, You can read the look on his face, He's thinking of a lie, But you have no idea what he's going to say, The Doc finally says "That there is a special anti-virus, It makes it so that you don't turn after being bitten by a zombie, How the hell did you get your hands on those things, These could be worth more than the whole town!" he looks genuinely shocked to even see the pills "I ..I got it of a friend who is infected now ..he must of not took them.""Your friend didn't tell you what they were?" he seems a little suspicious of your answer, But he still seems like he's buying it, He looks down at the pills for a few seconds before saying "I'll give you whatever you want, Name your price"She looks anxious.." is there a way to duplicate these pills?"The Doc smiles, It's like something inside of him has snapped, He becomes evil very quickly and you can see it in his eyes, The Doc laughs, He says "If I knew how to make these, Do you think I'd be living in this ruined town?" he stares at the pills, His eyes are still locked onto them "I could get rich off of these damn things" his voice becomes cold and the Doc's demeanor becomes more terrifying. "Valeire get in the car we should really go.."The Doc seems to have snapped, He is no longer the friendly guy who was standing in the clinic a few seconds ago, He's now become a crazed lunatic who is staring at the pills and is thinking of his own future. The Doc raises the pistol, He points the gun at the two of you, He shouts "Stay right there or I swear to god I will shoot you both!" he looks like he means every word he's saying, The pills have made him crazy. You have one second to react. they pull out a gun each "don't you dare.." "shoot one of us and the other will shoot you..it's death or live"The Doc pauses for a second when he sees you both aim a gun at him, He laughs hysterically before taking a few steps back and lowering his pistol, He's no longer pointing the gun at you but he's still acting crazy, He's laughing like a lunatic and is still holding his gun, he looks like he could shoot at any second "You won't do it" The Doc sounds like he wants you to prove him wrong, What do you do? You feel like one of you is going to have to do the first move. "Who says I won't.?" It felt like the outside was spinning out of control and she was trapped trying to escape He laughs, It's a laugh that sends chills down your spine, He sounds like a genuine psychopath, He says "Do it then" you can see the hate in the Docs eyes, it seems like he genuinely wants you to shoot him, There's something wrong with this guy...The doc is staring at you, he awaits your response, Your only options are to shoot him or lower your gun and try to reason with him, What do you do? holding the gun, she hopps into a the car and lower the gun "don't get closer.."The doc steps backwards slightly, When you lower the gun he looks satisfied, but you can see the look of anger in his eyes, the look of anger is still there but he puts on a smile, the doc says "That was smart, I'm impressed" the Doc seems to have calmed down a little, You can still see anger in his eyes but he's calmed down. He puts his pistol in his pocket, You don't know if he's just waiting for you to lower your guard but he's calmed down. You notice the car key still stuck in the ignition, It seems like you can still drive off.. "Hey doc.. you got a car?"The doc chuckles, he says "I have a few, why? You interested in buying one? I'll sell you one real cheap" the doc says, You can feel the tension when the doc talks, the doc can't be trusted, But you need a car, and this is your only option for getting one, The doc looks like he's waiting for your response. "Let us try your best car and..we will give you half our pills" Micheal stares at her "are you crazy?!" He whispers "just go with it" she whispers. The Doc smiles and nods, He says "You drive a hard bargain, I like that, I'll give you my best car for half of the pills I'll go get it quickly, I'll be right back" the doc says before turning and walking off, He walks out of the clinic and is now gone, You stand in silence for a second before turning to Michael and whispering "That could be a setup, This guy is not to be trusted" You both wait for the doc to return. What do you do? Make a plan or just go with it? Valeire explains how she's going to 'test' the car and drive off "I'll just say I don't want to Michael explains that the doc is clearly setting you up and plan a way to get out of this mess, Your plan is simple, Once the Doc returns you are going to jump him and keep the pills as well as the car, You both agree to the plan and wait for the Doc to return with the car. You sit there for a few minutes in silence before you hear the doc coming back, You see him pushing a car around the corner, He pushes all the way to the front of the clinic, He's smiling as he pushes the car, He seems happy. Valerie pretends to go hug him before giving the pills "thanks you..can I hug you?" he agrees as they go to hug and she stabs him in the back "MICHEAL START THE CAR" she takes her knife leaving his body to rot and they drive off. The doc lays there, The knife pierced his heart, He looks up to Valeire with a look of disappointment and sadness, The doc lets out a final breath and dies as Michael starts the car, He speeds off and drives far away, You both sit in silence for a few seconds, Before Michael says "What the hell just happened?" Michael seems shocked, he hasn't seen Valeire like that before. "I-i don't know" Michael drives onwards and you both sit in silence for a while, He eventually turns back to look at you and say "Did you just kill that guy?" he seems like he can't believe it and is trying to process what he just saw, What do you say to him? "I guess I did but that's not the point." "He said that these pills can make u rich,we should keep one and sell the rest to start a new life"He looks at you for a second, he seems a little more calm now, but he still looks a little shocked, He says "You'd murder someone just to get rich" he says "We got the car, We don't need to do anything else!" He seems quite angry, He isn't yelling, but you can hear the anger in his voice, He thinks that you're crazy.

What do you do in response to Michael? "Micheal what else was I supposed to do..HE WOULD OF KILLED US?!" *she raises her voice frantically"Michael looks at you with a look of fear and is silent for a second, then he seems to think, and his face changes from a look of fear to a look of realization, he nods slowly and says "Well, you did what you had to do, It was either kill him or be killed, I guess there wasn't any other choice" Michael sounds slightly traumatized by the experience but also relieved that you're both still alive Valerie puts her hand on top of Michael's, "We will be okay..i promise"Michael nods and says "How will we keep this from happening again though?" he looks like he's still trying to process what he saw "What happens if we tell other people to try and sell the pills, will we just have to kill them too?" He asks, He looks like he's slightly in shock, Which is very understandable. "No beacuse we won't tell anyone we just need to sell them and start a new life on the new planet and we will be free"Michael seems satisfied with your answer, he says "Alright, But we still need money to get off the planet" He sighs "You're right though" He looks out of the window as you both continue driving into the city and into the unknown, You hope you don't see anything else that will make you have to make more tough decisions... as they drive they decide to park up and sleep at a cabin.
